There are those who seek to know the various nations from Daniel and the Revelation. I am sure you may have heard some of the list in no order, Rome, Greece, and enter your favorite candidate. Unknown they have not included the one nation that ties it altogether. This nation is coming and it is unlike any of the nations that have had world rule. of course this can become an impossible knot to untie. But it doesn’t need to happen. Did this country have specialized troops unlike any other world ruler? No they all had armies, strategies and on and on trying to ferret out this fourth kingdom. Migraines, frustration and piles of commentaries and history books or turn to Zechariah 11 and meet the Good Shepherd and His counterfeit, anti-Christ, the Evil Shepherd. This is the time of the end and the country unlike any who came before her is apostate Israel after she once again becomes Israel the northern kingdom and Judah the southern kingdom. The Lord had two shepherds staffs related to Israel. One name Favor kept the Gentiles from completely destroying her. Isaiah 5 speaks of the same idea only using a hedge to protect her. But the hedge is being removed and apostate Israel does not turn to the Lord instead they build a wall but it is not only going to fail it will be used in her final destruction. But she isn’t just divided Israel she is the Harlot on the Scarlet Beast. Here she is seen as the beastly nation who has ten crowns but only 7 heads with three other shepherds plucked out by the Lord. This is the nation who is about to rule the world as anti-Christs queen. Time and time again the prophets came with the same end times prophecy but they are not filled with images of Revelation.Isaiah 2 shows the condition of apostate Israel when the Lord rises in all His splendor. That does not happen until the Day of the Lord. Here is apostate Israel, rich, powerful and filled with idols and false worship.

Iron represents the stronghold this nation had. Daniel chapter 2 mentions the iron element of this empire that it to will be divided and broken as God will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.

In 146BC the Romans destroyed Corinth during the Battle of Corinth and made the Greece Empire into a province of the Roman Empire. This timeline goes from 753BC to 27BC. Nero burned Rome in 64AD and blamed the Christian community in the city causing the Roman Empires first persecution of Christians. In 1453 was the rise of the Ottoman Empire that conquered Constantinople destroying the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire) that reigned from 330AD to 1453AD. The Roman Empire was then called the Holy Roman Empire that was a political entity beginning in 800AD - 1806AD from the time of Charlemagne (Holy Roman Emperor) who protected Pope Leo III from Adrian's supporters in Rome to Francis II, King of France. Pope Pius VII was the Pope from 1800-1823. The Roman Empire is known today as Vatican City, a city-state surrounded by Rome and Italy who has diplomatic relations with every nation around the world.

Two Shepherds
4 This is what the Lord my God says: “Shepherd the flock marked for slaughter. 5 Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Praise the Lord, I am rich!’ Their own shepherds do not spare them. 6 For I will no longer have pity on the people of the land,” declares the Lord. “I will give everyone into the hands of their neighbors and their king. They will devastate the land, and I will not rescue anyone from their hands.” Zechariah 11 the two shepherds and the flock marked for slaughter.


7 So I shepherded the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock. Then I took two staffs and called one Favor and the other Union, and I shepherded the flock. 8 In one month I got rid of the three shepherds. two staffs one marked Favor which was a covenant the Lord entered into with the Gentile nations so they would not destroy Israel. The other staff was Union and when this was busted there was nothing to hold the nation together.

The flock detested me, and I grew weary of them 9 and said, “I will not be your shepherd. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish. Let those who are left eat one another’s flesh.” the Lord had put up with Israel's apostate portion but no longer. All He would care for now was the faithful Remnant.


10 Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations. 11 It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the Lord. No longer are they protected this is shown in Isaiah 5 as the Lord removes the protective hedge He placed around her. As attacks began to happen and became more frequently apostate Israel has not turned to the Lord instead they are building a wall trying to replace the covenant God had with the Gentiles and the hedge. Time is running out.


12 I told them, “If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it.” So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.


13 And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord.


14 Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the family bond between Judah and Israel. when this happens the nation will split in two Judah will have two of the tribes or heads and Israel will have the other 10 tribes, heads, which will be reduced to seven when they are plucked up. What Gentile nation has ever had ten rulers at the same time? None


15 Then the Lord said to me, “Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 16 For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hooves. Showing anti-Christ the Evil Shepherd will be raised up in the land of Israel.

The question of the other nations is not one that is needed to be identified. There is only one nation that is being singled out and rightfully so she is the main character in the events taking place. This is a beast/nation that is unlike and of the nations who have been world rulers. The question has always been the identity of who this harlot is and once you realize that she is mystery Babylon the ‘mother of Harlots‘ You are close to unlocking the entire prophecy. She is identified by Ezekiel as the Mother of oholah and oholibah both of whom are harlots. These two harlots are the divided nation os Israel’s southern and northern kingdoms. There are no other instances in Scripture where anyone is both declared to be a harlot, apostate Israel, as well as the mother of the harlots. Apostate Israel is the key to prophecy.

if you check the prophecy in De. 32 you will find Israel’s entire history laid out as a song that has a very specific purpose, it is to be a witness against apostate Israel. This is going to be an instrument of of indictment when the Ancient of Days, Jesus Christ, takes His place in court. In that song the time of Church lasts for two verses. That is all the entire church age merits. The emphasis on the Gentile nations while interesting have more emphasis than they warrant. The difference between the beast with the horns, heads and crowns is she is apostate Israel. A nation completely different from all the Gentile nations world rulers. Apostate Israel who we are told of at this time spiritually is no different from ‘Sodom and Egypt.’ Then she is last shone in here final apostate condition, mystery Babylon.

Israel will become a divided kingdom again in the end of days as it was in 70AD during the Roman invasion that destroyed Jerusalem including the Temple as the Jews scattered to the north and the south. Many Jews even today are still waiting for a priestly king, Messiah, to come and take a his seat on a literal throne on the very Temple mount of God. God's judgment will fall on those who have rejected Christ as they have fallen away from truth that was taught to them and accept the son of perdition to be their priestly king for 3 1/2 years, Daniel Chapter 7, 9; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.

Zechariah as the shepherd is told by God to feed the flock for slaughter. The flock represents the people of God as the shepherd, Zechariah represented the Lord who had appointed the flock for a season of judgment.

Zechariah chapter 11 is prophecy about the rejection of the Messiah. Zechariah took two staffs as one named beauty meaning God's grace and the other one named bonds meaning unity. Grace favored the status of Israel as the chosen people of God. Union was the internal harmony of the people that was lost at the time of the siege of Jerusalem in 70AD as the Jews scattered themselves going north an south.

The three shepherds are the prophets, priest and kings of Israel. These three offices were taken away from Israel after the Roman conquest of Judea/Jerusalem and were never restored because they are now fulfilled in Christ. Vs 4 Zechariah proceeds to show the cause of the foretold destruction, namely the rejection of Messiah.

I agree with everything you presented and especially this as Israel is not the nation who is her or her twin. Jerusalem has been destroyed at least twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times between that of the first empire, Babylonian Empire, up to the last one being the Roman Empire whose deadly wound has been healed. Jerusalem is the very place in the end of days where the son of perdition that has always tried to destroy her will take his literal seat for 3 1/2 final years as being the false prophet/antichrist we read about in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12; Rev 13. He and the beast out of the sea which gives him his power will both be cast alive in the lake of fire when Christ returns, Rev 19:11-21

I don't see these two harlots Ezekiel speaks of in Ezekiel Chapter 23 as being the harlot described in Rev 17 as there is no comparison.

I don't see these two harlots Ezekiel speaks of in Ezekiel Chapter 23 as being the harlot described in Rev 17 as there is no comparison. There has always been one harlot in Scripture and she has never been Rom. Revelation 11 shows us where the final two witness are slain by antiChrist and it is in the great city where the Messiah was crucified. Every time the great city is mentioned between here and Rev. 17 it is never said to be a different city, She is shown to us as being Spiritually like Sodom and Egypt, drawing from memory Re. 11 maybe wrong. I will check and correct. When apostate Israel has Unity broken the two daughters pictured there are the northern kingdom Israel and the southern kingdom Judah. The same harlots in Ezekiel. Probably the biggest thing is that she is drunk on the blood of the prophets and saints. It was of such a certainity the Lord asked if a Prophet could get slain and it not have taken place in Jerusalem. The Prophets were sent to one Gentile entity and they repented never harmed him. We are told she gives the nations drinks of her fornications. Scripture speaks like this when the one is apostate Israel and the others the Gentile nations.

What Prophet or prophets were sent to Rome or sent to Israel and captured and killed by Rome? One question, have you ever wondered why John was astonished when he was shown who the harlot is? Strange reaction if that was really babylon or Babylon in the advanced form of Rome. John would have knowingly shaken his head knowing that was what you expected of them. But if its apostate Israel he would be astonished.

The Northern Kingdom came in existence around 930BC after the northern tribes of Israel rejected Solomon's son Rehoboam as their king. The nine tribes that formed the northern kingdom were the tribes of Reuben, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim and Manasseh. In Rev 7:1-8 we read about the sealing of the 144,000 of every tribe of Israel except for the tribe of Dan and Ephraim as they fell to idol worship and allowed God to be removed from them, Judges 18:30; 1 Kings12:25-33; Hosea 5:9, 11;Psalms 78:9-17, 65-67. To keep it twelve tribes since Dan and Ephraim are not mentioned in vs. 4-8 the tribe of Joseph appears twice, once under his own name and once under the name of his son Issachar/Manasseh. Judah is mentioned first as Messiah was to come from the lineage of David.

Biblical history alone shows us who this great harlot is within her description. Rev 17:7-18 The mystery of the woman is now revealed to John as being the Babylonian Empire (was, and is not). The same Empire that in time became the Roman Empire that has captured John and sent him to the isle of Patmos as a prisoner for preaching the word of God to the seven Churches in Asia. The same Empire that have always persecuted, even to death, the saints, the Prophets, the Apostles and even Christ.

Zechariah 11:1-3 The three shepherds are that of Lebanon, Bashan and Jordon that a fire of judgement was set against as they were cut off. All three represent the whole land of Israel from the north to the south.

Vs. 4-14 The cause of their judgement is because of the rejection of the true shepherd. God used Zechariah as an actor playing the part of the shepherd to illustrate the true shepherd being Christ Jesus and the rejection He encountered. Because of their rejection the people were to be treated like sheep fattened for the slaughter whose shepherds have no pity, but only interested in money for the meat. S, God will serve up his sheep for slaughter without pity.

Throughout the book of Acts Israel was under Romam rule, which had been the case since Rome wrested the the region from Syria in 64BC. During the NT era the Roman Empire ruled most of the known world.

Zechariah 4:1-6; 4:11-14 explains that these two witnesses are the word of God in all power and might and the Holy Spirit which is the oil that is poured out on those who God anoints with His Holy Spirit.

John is given the understanding that the two witnesses are in comparison to the two candlesticks and two olive trees, which if you read Zechariah Chapter 4 it explains that the golden candlestick is God. The seven lamps with the seven pipes that holds the oil (anointing) is that of the seven Spirits of God given to His Church: wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, reverence, might and Spirit of the Lord, Isaiah 11:2.

The two olive trees are to groups of people. One group being natural Israel (Old Testament) as a remnant according to the election of grace have been saved as in the 144,000 taken from the twelve tribes of Israel that remained faithful to God up to a thousand generations thereafter that remain faithful, 1 Chronicles 16:13-17. The other being Gentiles (New Testament) grafted into the branch by that same grace of God that have been washed in the blood of the Lamb and sealed by His Holy Spirit, John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Romans Chapter 11. The two witnesses have always been those who have stood by God and His law in the Old Testament and those who stand by God and Jesus under the dispensation of grace in the New Testament. Jews were only sent to preach to the lost sheep of Israel and Paul was sent to preach to the Gentiles, Matthew 10:5-7; Acts 22:21, so will it be during the seventh trumpet sounding.

Actually the was, is not, will be again is spoken of anti-Christ and of the Christ it says was, is and will be again.

Notice in Rev 13:1, 2 mentions seven heads and ten horns. vs. 2 mentions a leopard, a bear and a lion which is the description of the four Empires with the last one being the Romam Empire that received a deadly wound, but never died as the wound was healed in 1929. Satan is the one who gives these evil Empires their power as the last antichrist/son of perdition will come out of the revived Roman Empire.

Seven remaining nations that still exist today:

Babylonian Empire:
(Iraq) The lion represents the winged lions that guarded the royal places of Babylon. This Empire ran from 2000BC - 1759BC

Medo – Persian Empire:
(Iran) The ribs of the bear are part of the consuming greed that devours the first empire. This Empire ran approximately from 536BC - 330BC

Grecian Empire:
(Greece, Turkey, Syria, Egypt) Four wings of the leopard described the swiftness of this empire that ran from 334-331BC. It wrestled world dominion from Medo-Persia. After the death of Alexander the Great the kingdom was divided into four minor kingdoms that continued as prominent factors in world politics until the Roman Empire gathered it back as one kingdom.

Roman Empire: (little horn, Daniel 8:9-14, 23-27)
Iron represents the stronghold this nation had. Daniel chapter 2 mentions the iron element of this empire that it to will be divided and broken as God will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.
This Empire ran from 753BC -27BC

The ten horns represent the nations the Roman Empire scattered to when the deadly wound was put upon them, Daniel 7:23-25; Rev 13:3.

Because of the ToS I can not give you who the beast out of the earth is that will take his literal seat in Jerusalem deceiving the world for 3 1/2 years, but to only say he comes from the revived Roman Empire.

Rev 17:8 The beast that was and is not and yet is had its beginning with Nimrod and continuing with all four Empires with imperial kings, pharaohs and Roman Caesars that claimed to be priest/god/kings who commands worship from their subjects.

The northern and southern kingdom are at heart prostitutes and daughters of a Prostitute. Israel played the harlot that the Lord finally made Lo-Ammi which means not His people. This does not mean the faithful remnant within the larger apostate Israel are not His. I believe the opposite of that. The 144,000 are held in that same hand that we are and we know He has lost only the Son of Perdition.

5Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD. 6For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with influences from the east; they are soothsayers like the Philistines; they strike hands with the children of foreigners. 7Their land is full of silver and gold, with no limit to their treasures; their land is full of horses, with no limit to their chariots.…

this is all end times O. T. passages that show it is impossible for apostate Israel not to be the harlot of the New Testament. All the things the Lord taught were the fulfillment of what was first given as seed in the Old Testament. If we believe the ones of His Birth they are probably trusty enough and accurate to believe about the End Times also.
