I truly believe that there's an agenda on not only Christians but society in general to suppress their health by hiding knowledge about what can really heal the body and mind, which is fasting. Instead, the elites and big pharma are pushing drugs and other therapies that only make them richer. I think fasting is very important for all Christians to do in one form or another. It's something that we need to do in this modern age especially, with all the spiritual warfare going on that is overtaking politics, the media, and culture. I've started a v-log on YouTube about fasting in this regard as well as other contexts because I'm so dead set on getting this message out:

This is 100% false doctrine.

Rev. 12

“11 And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb (the power to overcome and overwhelm the Kingdom of Satan is found exclusively in the Blood of the Sacrifice of the Son of God, and our Faith in that Finished Work [Rom. 6:3-5, 11, 14]), and by the word of their testimony (the “testimony” must pertain to the fact that the Object of our Faith is the Cross, and exclusively the Cross, which then gives the Holy Spirit latitude to work within our lives); and they loved not their lives unto the death. (This refers to the fact that the Believer must not change his testimony regarding the Cross to something else, even if it means death.)”

As I have stated before, many are proclaiming Christ with zeal but not with the knowledge, while forsaking or adding (being ignorant to Gods Righteousness) to the Cross, i.e., "The Blood of Jesus." (Rom. 10:1-3)

I may be wrong, but I do not see in scripture where God commands us to fast. At the same time the Bible presents fasting that is something that is good, profitable and beneficial. Fasting and prayer are often linked together and has nothing to do with going without food unless one wants to, but also be careful how long you go without eating as not pushing it until you feel weak as your body loses nutrients it needs for good health. The purpose of fasting should be to take our eyes off the things of this world in order to focus on God. When we fast before God it's a way of demonstrating to God how serious our relationship is with Him as we give undisturbed time in prayer and fellowship with God.

People need to educate themselves on health issues and natures best for them like eating healthy without all the chemicals and preservatives that actually cause health issues. Taking raw natural herbs for body health will help keep one from having to take all these drugs that are out on the market with all these side affects that could do more harm even death. Exercise and nutrition will help keep you healthy, but yet health issues are a part of our DNA and if one, like many of us have to take meds then again, educate yourself on what you are taking and if it is really necessary to be on them and if there are other healthy alternatives.

Great word.

The Apostles fasted, especially Paul.

This is how we deny the flesh and live the crucified life.

Fasting and prayer.

Paul said it this way —

For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.
Philippians 3:18-19

DreyDay I forgot to say welcome to CF and I agree with your video that many of us have become complacent when it comes to fasting as even I am guilty of this and need to start doing this again. Thank you for sharing your video.

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17

Yes, we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb as the battle belongs to the Lord who has given us the victory over the enemy. It is by God's grace that gives us the power and authority through Christ that we speak against the enemy as they are subject to the name of Jesus, Luke 10:17-20. The object of our faith is not exclusively the cross, but that of the finished works of Christ who was nailed to the cross under Roman rule for crucifixions.

If our fixation stays only at the foot of the cross, which is our beginning of believing in Christ in whom God raised from the grave and now sits at the right hand of the Father, Romans 8:34, then there is no Spiritual growth moving forward from the finished works and the cross becomes our idol in which we worship. Jesus is our mediator before the Father in whom we come before Him with fasting and prayer as we lay our petitions before Him.

Like I said, the purpose of fasting should be to take our eyes off the things of this world in order to focus on God. When we fast before God it's a way of demonstrating to God how serious our relationship is with Him as we give undisturbed time in prayer and fellowship with Him.

There is no difference from me saying the Cross, the Finished Work at Calvary, the Blood of Jesus; it all means the same thing.

Question for you? What happened to the Priest who did not take the coals of fire from Brazen Altar, which typified Calvary, which sat in front of the Tabernacle and used coals of fire that had failed on the ground and placed them on the Golden Altar in the Tabernacle?

All works that is not produced and birth by the Holy Spirit in the life of a Believer is iniquity. That includes religious activity and scriptural Christian disciplines such as fasting.

The scripture teaches us that many who used the word Lord and even say that they Love the Lord will be surprised to be at the Great White Throne Judgement who are doing works in the name of the Lord, but it ain't the Lord doing it. (Matthew 7:21-23)

Iniquity (sin abounding in Christians as their love is waxing cold) is those who are doing works in the name of the Lord but it ain’t the Lord doing it. Love only abounds in knowledge (in the knowledge of the Cross) and in all judgement (discernment, which is a spiritual and moral sense or feeling). Philippians 1:9

The Believer must keep their Faith in the Sacrificial Work of Christ or iniquity will abound.

Fasting includes not only, doing without food, but as well, denying one's own strength and ability, and looking exclusively to the Cross (1 Cor. 1:17-18).

yeah..i hate to say it, but I'm kind of having an internal debate about the merits of 'sola scriptura,' personally. the rcc approach seems...more reasonable, in many respects...

-sigh- i've often admired --aspects-- of rcc. now, of course, there's talk of financial instability and such, largely from all the pedophile court cases...--eek--

to be fair, though, that happens to churches -in general- . the southern baptist convention apparently is doing something about all the already convicted abusive people in positions of leadership in many of their churches...

but i dunno. at the end of the day, one must follow Jesus, no matter the denomination one was born into or 'fits' into best, etc.

I may be wrong, but I do not see in scripture where God commands us to fast.

It kind of sort've surely does in Matthew 6:16-18

16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.../

When I read this passage, I notice that it does not say if you fast...it says, when you fast, like it is a given that we will. To me, that's about as close as you can get to being a commandment without being chiseled in stone, lol. The grammar is clear. When you fast...
