Yesterday had to call 911 and spent 5 hrs. in ER (hospital nearby) because of some symptoms following my angiogram procedure last Tuesday when in the hospital. Excessive bleeding under the skin (brusing) around the punctured artery area. They did ultrasound and other tests as also had fever and nausea. Under control again and back home. Looks like recovery from this will take another week or so. And, if goes well, will begin processing leading to heart valve replacement. Thanks for your prayers. (no medical advice, please) :shame I leave that to the professionals. Scriptures shared are just fine though and always appreciated. :bible

"For the heart"....wish it was that easy. Thanks for prayers.
I only said "chicken soup" as a joke since you said you didn't want any medical advice.

Just something to brighten your day and maybe a smile.

I've gotten a lot of "serious" news lately.
Lots of people with cancer spread to their lymph nodes, unemployment, going down the wrong path and things like that.

Just wanted to try and make you smile so I could smile with you.

I have no real words, sunflower (rare for this dude, obviously). Through your posts, I've seen such genuine humility and strength from Him that...once I got over myself, really impressed me and sort of...well, you remind me of Verna, but you also seem somehow...softer (in a good way), wise yet hopeful. and so...

all I can say is that you're in my prayers. Oh, and so are your "treatment providers," as the teams are called these days. Seriously.

I used to think that praying for God's perfect will was...giving up, somehow. Then, I got over my fear of God as an angry tyrant...obviously, that's not the God we serve...and I started praying for His -perfect will- in my life and the lives of those around me. And...

turns out, The One, True Living God is a whole lot more manganimous and genuinely Good than I could have ever imagined. So...I'm going to pray for you like I pray for mama, dad, me, Verna...His perfect will, but I"m also going to pester Him with my earnest petitions for your healing.

:)

John, hey, no problem. You did make me smile. I apologize if it seemed otherwise. Yes, lots of people going through a lot of things. I just trust in the power of continuing prayer a lot for others as well as myself. God is with us! Bless you. Jo

Please let us know the results. I do hope somebody close to you is there with you.
Jeff, I already got the results after the Angiogram..they indicated I do qualify for the non-invasive heart valve replacement. Today's appointment is follow up. He is referring me now to a different clinic across town where they do the TAVR procedure. I will be working with them next..more tests (not painful though like this last thing nor recovery, nor hospital stay (until the heart valve replacement). Don't expect updates on that for a while as I am told this will take weeks. Look up TAVR. I think you'll find it interesting. It is working very well especially for older people and from that only 1-3 days in the hospital stay and fewer weeks recovery at home than invasive heart valve surgery which my late husband had in 1996. Big changes. I have had some side issues but since the ER visit and ultra sound the bruising has stopped spreading. Aspirin makes more bruising so looks worse than it is. My older daughter is on call if I need her but will check with me tonight. She works full time but not far from here. After 24 hours I was told I could drive and it has been a week so okay there. It's less than a mile from here and little traffic that time of morning. You know otherwise ...I am not incapacitated like some. thanks be to God. Just pray. Not to worry. Thanks.
