It was three weeks yesterday I came home from the hospital after TAVR. (new way to replace a heart valve) and I am, as Gene Autry (the singing cowboy) used to sing, 'back in the saddle again.' doing more walking and getting healed gradually. Even doing some household chores, etc. Not supposed to sit too long due to keeping the circulation going..so will be popping in from time to time posting short ones until later..then into discussion again. Meanwhile, just wanted to share with all here..God is so good...planning more years, looking forward to much. Love you all..thanks for your prayers. I turned 82 last week! No cane, no walker, and so far no other replacements. Heart valve, believe me, is enough.

yay, sunflower. I'm glad you're in good health and that modern medicine is finding more humane, less painful ways of getting the job done. :)

i really enjoy your posts here, too. you're kind, you're wise, you've got a great testimony (from what I've read of it, thus so far...), and so...

yeah, basically...thanks for the update. its answered prayer for a lot of people, including us here at cfnet. :)

o my goodness - 82 - wow - God bless you

welcome back - praying for your full recovery and continuously increasing health and strength

Hi Sunflower....
Such good news!
You sound good and positive and the worst is over..thank you God.

Continue taking good care of yourself...
We're all waiting for you...you're much loved here.

Hi sunflower
Great to hear you sounding so well. Everyone has missed you. Looking forward to seeing you back soon. Your positive attitude is inspiring.
Christians always seem to have a more positive attitude about everything. Even in the midst of great pain (physical) there seems to be some amount of joy in there somewhere - I've experienced this myself.

It's been scientifically proven that persons that pray and have a belief in God heal faster than those that don't.
Amazing!

I am back, just not on as often which is a good thing and means I am doing more not sitting down. Gotta keep active and not sit or stand too long. Lots of walking. (It's part of my therapy) Thanks.

So glad your recovering so quickly!
I still think you'll be able to complete that 5k in July!

Not planning on that, but looking forward to longer walks every day. Now I am out around 6:30-7:00 a.m. a brisk walk with mostly robins and rabbits out there. Up to almost a mile but distance doesn't matter all that much just getting out and moving does. Feeling good at 82. So glad everything is working well now. And gradually lost around 20 lbs since Christmas. Clothes are too big but I don't mind at all. Thanks again to the praying people here. This is my last update on this thread. blessings...from
sunflower ... giving God the glory for the things He has done.
