Here’s a question for you -

Are their any scriptures that teach us that baptisms are no longer required.

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Acts 1:4-5

Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 1 Corinthians 10:1-2

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:1-2

I've answered this but due to computer problems we shall give it a go again.

John's baptism is no longer valid. The scripture doesn't say so in so many words. Paul wrote: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." II Tim.2:15. When scripture is "rightly divided" on this subject its easily understood that the baptism of John is past. Do you agree or do you in vain practice it??

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is also fulfilled and past for today. When you joined me in a PM I proved that, however you didn't respond as you didn't respond to many points. If you now think you have scriptural proof for Spirit baptism today I suggest you return to our PM, read my comments and answer with scripture. Our PM remains open to each of us.

Did you say that water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism are both invalid today?

(in JLB's post to you with which you're having a problem)

Explaining away a major doctrine of Christ with no scripture.

Not a good theology.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:16

The baptism of John is no longer valid. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is no longer valid. Water baptism which is a burial in water and a resurrection from the water FOR the remission of sins is unto the end of the world. Ephesians was written in about 63 or 64 AD. Paul said then there is but ONE baptism, Eph.4:5.
The baptism of fire will be administered by Jesus which is hell.

I shall be happy to provide scriptural proof of the aboved in a one on one.

I gave you scriptural proof in our one on one which you never answered. If you have proof of your position now then please return to our one on one PM. As always I WILL answer your posts there.

You gave no proof.

You gave your opinion which says -

John's baptism is no longer valid. The scripture doesn't say so in so many words.

Was John’s Baptism from heaven or from man?

I want scripture.

Opinions are what divide.

Please show us the scripture that’s says water baptism is no longer required.

“If you love Me, obey My commandments.”
(John 14:15)
“Those who accept My commandments and obey them are
the ones who love Me … All who love Me will do what I say. Anyone who doesn’t love Me will not obey Me.”
(John 14:21-24)
“When you obey My commandments,
you remain in My love” (John 15:10)
“You are My friends, if you do what I command.” (John 15:14)
“We can be sure we know Him, if we obey His commandments” (1 John 2:3)
“He who keeps His commandments abides in Him
and He in him” (1 John 3:24)
“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love”
(1 John 3:24)
“Loving God means keeping His commandments” (1 John 5:3)
“Love means doing what God has commanded us” (2 John 6)

Even though OT people had none of our advantages,
God said He would show mercy “to those who love Me
and keep My commandments” (Exodus 20:6)
