I thought I would share some thought provoking tweets from Beth Moore that were posted in Charisma Magazine, since the Forum is in a state of transition, with the new TOS.

Run for your life from this thread this morning. Here’s what the Lord is bringing to light in my dark heart. What we resent most about our hardest relationships is what they bring out in us. In easier ones our pleasant self-deceptions of being wonderful blameless people flourish.

Whether they live down the hall, the street or across the globe, by nature our favorite neighbors to love are those who bring out our favorite things we love about us. Instead of loving our neighbors as ourselves, we’re prone to love the neighbors who make us love ourselves.

If God has placed us in relationships that bring out the worst in us, it’s because indeed HE WANTS TO BRING OUT THE WORST IN US. Permanently out, plucked up by the bloody roots. It’s because He is faithful to us, unstoppably devoted to finishing the good work He started in us.

We want others to change so we don’t have to. The more resistant we are to our own personal transformation, the further we’ll withdraw from God & the very people He wants to use to make us most like Christ.

God, help us. Relationships are HARD.

I have participated and sometimes led several of her bible studies. Always a life changing experience. Thanks for these quotes.

I've never heard her name until just now, but I like what I just read.

Since you've led her bible studies, how about sharing? I'd like to hear more of her stuff!
You can see some of her bible studies videos on YouTube. Each course included daily homework in workbooks. We watched her video and also had table group discussions. Her studies cover an extensive variety of biblical themes. So hard to describe. Generally these are primarily for women's groups, but I can see appeal there for men who want to do the work she requires. You can read about her books on Lifeway.com. She is definitely a biblical scholar but writes and talks with humor.

StoveBolts and others interested: Here is a link to a list of most of her bible studies showing the workbooks..I have done nine of them either with a group or on my own, four of which I led. There are a few she has done which are not listed so maybe this is an old list..but it does give one the general idea of the extension of these. Most workbooks are available either new or used on Amazon.com.

Thanks! I'll take a look on my lunch break.
Speaking of Amazon, if you do purchase anything from Amazon, could you please go to Amazon through on of our Amazon links? The site gets paid for clicks and if you purchase something through our link, the site gets a small commision.
Thanks, every penny helps.

Wish I would have known that the other day as I do buy from Amazon at times. Will go through the link from now on.

BTW I never heard of Beth Moore before, but like what she says.
