If that's the right article, then....

Well it talks about the tower of Babel instead of Noah's flood. And it misquoted the bible saying that God gave them that city before dispersing it, as well as misquoting the bible to say that God gave mankind the giants that were born from angels and women.

I hope the details tgat relate to the archeological find are true, but the rest seems unreliable, so I wouldn't put too much credit to the story. Will have to look into it further to confirm the archeological finds.

can't find a credible article and the same story ran 5 months ago on the same 3 sites - 2 of them have tracking cookies so it might not be available from a reliable source

I haven't looked at this yet but I don't need proof that the Bible is true to know/believe that it is.

exactly - science always has been behind the bible

God told the israelites to wash their hands and other things in running water - early medical practices did not do this and many patients died until less than a hundred years ago when science discovered that washing in running water is the safest way for physicians to scrub up

God told the ancient israelites to bury all body wastes but the medieval europe created the bubonic /black plague by throwing their chamber pot contents into the street

much other science and medical knowledge in the bible 3500 years ahead of it's time

Noah's Ark is unique and there's only one.

However, the Tower of Babel is not unique.
They really existed.
About 2,000 years B.C. there was a ziggurat built in the town of UR.

These structures existed and were intended as a meeting place for the gods and the people. It was a sign of pride.

People desired to be like gods. This is a common theme in the O.T.

Maybe the story of the tower of Babel was written to show how languages began and became different or maybe how nations began.

In any case, no matter how noble one could be, he is doomed to be caught in the destructive power of the sin nature that separates us from: God, self, nature, others.
This same separation exists in nations.

God alone can save us from this.
