Although I have not had time to download this personally, it has been mentioned in a few other posts on this site.

The basic application is rather large (17 meg), though. If you have used this feel free to post your impression.

Also, if there is similar software out there which is better or worse, please feel free to comment on those as well.
 
Another good bible software prog is sword http://www.crosswire.org/index.jsp

it just a backend but there are lots of front ends for it for every major os linux windows osx handhelds

im currently using bibletime in kde which is a front end for sword and it nice

and another cool thing about sword is it open source :)
