There is salvation in no other, for there is not another name under heaven having been given among men, by which it behooves us to be saved."

5 For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels. 6 But one testified in a certain place, saying: "What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? 7 You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. 8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
Hebrews 2:5-9

The Day will come in which all will bow their knee to the king of kings and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. In that Day we will see all things made subject to Him.

That Day, we are all looking forward to!

Is it not done because we dont see it...?

Yes!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for... the evidence of things not seen!

24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
Romans 8:24-25

What are we waiting for? The manifestation of the reality of our salvation at the resurrection of the dead.

We will see the manifestation of our faith and hope when Jesus returns and we see Him.

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28

For He must remain seated at the right hand of the Father until the restoration of all things, when we shall see all things put under Him.

and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:20-21

For we are earnestly expecting the deliverance of creation... even our own mortal bodies!

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Romans 8:19-21

For we shall see Him as He is!

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:2

I see this text as further evidence that Jesus is indeed an already installed King over this world. Although the writing style is a little poetic and strange - the authors claims, on the one hand, that all things are already in subjection to Jesus (this is definitely a way of asserting Jesus' present Kingship over all creation) yet, on the other, that we do not "see" this right now.

I think this is saying: "Jesus is fully King right now and all things are subject to Him; however His kingdom is evolving over time so we still see death and sin in the world"; we do not "see" these things as subject to Jesus because they are still here, even though Jesus is indeed a King.

People seem to struggle with believing Jesus is King over this world because there is still sin and death kicking around. I do not see this as a valid objection - this is exactly what we should expect, given this text (not to mention 1 Corinthians 15 where the point is even clearer): Jesus can indeed be fully king even if there are big problems in the world.

An individual level analogue is how as Christians Jesus is our King, yet if we are honest we know that we still sin, still get sick, still physically die.
