I was just wondering since I like and follow this girl on YouTube who is eleven years old and she's one of the people that I currently roleplay with. Anyways, I thought you had to be like thirteen to have an account? I told her that I really love whenever she gets the chance to update because I do, (I try not to be a pest about it but she is really mature for her age and sort of like an online little sister just like Brock is like my online little brother to me.

She also makes very good videos and there's even a possibility that she might start making song covers and give if her mother lets her.) but maybe there are ways around that rule. I know that Facebook the age is thirteen, then again, unfortunately not everybody out there is honest about things like that. :nono Anyways, I was just curious that's all. I think that it really should be up to the parents on what they let their children do and don't do. Then again, a lot of websites (such as this forum) insist upon being thirteen and over and I do believe that whatever the owner of that particular website says should be entirely up to them.

Oh btw, she's a Catholic and just about everybody so far that I've talked to and roleplayed with on that website (except for one person) has been a Christian so I guess they really are like my brothers and sisters. :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure YouTube and most other social media sites the minimum age is 13.

The internet is a big, scary place. I think the 13 thing is pretty sensible, tbh.

I know this is a pretty old thread but I just saw her first video today and she looks very pretty and reminds me of Ginny Weasley lol! :lol (I told her that as well. :)) But yes the more I think about it now, the more I just happen to think that you're right as there are a lot of weirdos and freaks out there and children need to be protected. I just hope she knows how to handle herself if she starts getting freaky and weird comments. Most likely her parents would be monitoring her YouTube page,.. or at least,.. I hope so.

Kids seem to be so much maturer at the age of 13 then we were at that age many years ago. They are a child that wants to be an adult and even try out adult things that usually get them in trouble. Electronics has taken the place of good parenting as in this day and age many parents just don't take an interest in what their kids are into.
