This is a praise post. First off, my eleven year old wanted to see Winnie the Pooh in Christopher Robin. I feel so blessed that my child still has that wonder in his life. This movie is actually pretty serious for being Winnie the Pooh, but it has a wonderful point. The point being, that when we grow up we sometimes lose sight of what really matters in life. I'm actually slowly learning what the movie was saying. My children are growing up so fast and for the longest time I wanted that. Now that they are growing up, I want to cherish each moment I have with them cause they won't be part of my everyday life pretty soon. I'm thankful I was able to take some time today and have a meaningful outing to the Winnie the Pooh movie with my kid still.

My wife and I saw the previews and it looked good. Lots of wisdom.
Our youngest is 19. I remember the disappointment when he stopped running to the door to greet me when I got home. They grow up.
He gave us a run for our money a few years there, but we survived and are intact. We are enjoying this season in life with him and like yourself, we learned to cherish the moments.

He still takes his stuffed animals to bed with him and comes and gives us hugs before bedtime. I'm gonna miss that.

I'm glad you made it okay through the teen years!

I really want to see this movie! I love Winnie The Pooh! I've always had and I always will. :) (going to see the new Jurassic Park movie finally tomorrow :wink) Oh and I do believe this beautiful song is the one that Ray was referring to.

Yup, that's the right song; but when he did it with Jim Messina it captured the childlike innocence expressed in the OP better. (Logging and Messina original studio version)
