CHRISTOPHOBICS is a term thought up by wondering that I now have gone gaga over, and try to use the word whenever possible on this board and 2 others.

Don't take me too seriously today, I feel flaky from a flu shot I got 2 days ago.

Think of homophobia.
Why does that term exist?
What does it mean?
Is it good or bad to be homophobic?

Now think of Christophobic.
Do you realize how many persons are Christophobic?
They think badly of Christ and Christians.
They'd like to see us disappear, but here we will remain.
How CLOSED MINDED are these Christophobics?
Don't they have the modern and all wonderful and accepting of everything OPEN MIND??

It's terrible to be Christophobic and it's time we let them know it so they could feel as guilty as I'm supposed to feel by seeing two guys kissing and accept it as normal.

See?
It just might work...
Same method they used.

Pro-Choice would be another term.
Pro-abortion is too descriptive.

Okay, that all makes sense now that you explained it but what does knocking out the internet have to do with it? :confusedI wouldn't say that I have homophobia as I don't like it, but it's homosexuality that I have a problem with not homosexuals themselves. As for abortion,.. sure the woman feels like she has a choice,.. just like a murder has a choice whether or not he or she wants to pull the trigger. The victim does not. So neither does the unborn child in this circumstance. :nonono

Abortion= Murder

Plain and simple and it needs to end.

Anto9us2 was kidding.
His internet might have been out of service this morning,,,so he blamed it on the Christophobes. Maybe another attack on Christians on their part....

And you're right, of course.
Abortion needs to end.

Lots of phobias these days

Ikr? I have a phobia to snakes, rats, somewhat of a falling accorn phobia although that one is not as strong now, (I am still very much afraid of black walnuts, apples, and any other kinds of fruit that might fall on my head) and I am very eye squeamish as I don't like anybody but me touching my eyes or watching anybody else do things with their eyes. :erm

I know you are having fun with this new word, but let's keep in mind of what Jesus spoke in John 15:18-27 when using this new word Christophobics as being rebellious against those who do not know Christ as we are to be letting the light of Christ shine through us and to love and pray for our enemies, Matthew 5:43, 44.

I agree.
When we use the same tools (slander) as those who slander us, what is our reward?

Anto9us2 wondering,
Scripture teaches us to live quiet, peaceful lives so that nobody can slander our good works. When we slander those who slander us, we become part of the problem, not the solution.

I work with Muslims and Hindues and I've built good relations with both. My mentor is Hindu and use to hate Christians because in India, Christians are disrespectful of their religion and desecrate their idols and temples and are often argumentve against their religion.

I built a friendship with him and when he talks bad about Christians he pauses, and adds "except you" which has now changed to, " and Christians like you".

It's taken three years to build this relationship. About a month ago he said to me, " I don't even know if our gods are real" and that opened the connection to Jesus.

It's not about winning arguments, it's about winning hearts and honestly, slander only repels and divides. It does not seek unity and it does not accomplish our mission that we know as the great commission. If anything, it works against what Jesus would have us do.

I'm actually pretty serious....
WE are not mean to Christophobics...
THEY are mean to US.

Other groups have attained true freedom by using such words.
We Christians are being persecuted more and more....
I do believe we need to speak up.

40 years ago when homosexuals were complaining because they were being set on fire by mean kids and were being beaten up...they said they just wanted this to stop. The phobic method worked to get this stopped.

As we all know it did NOT stop there. And what did the church do back then? Nothing. Because it thought the general population would never allow what is happening today, such as SSMarriage and suing those who do not agree, like bakers, wedding invitation printers, etc.

Somehow, the general population DOES agree with SSMarriage.
Let's all consider how that came about.

Yes, of course we're having fun with the word...
but it IS a serious topic.

If you read my post no. 19 you'll see that we're not going to agree on this.

Calling someone ...phobic is not slander.
It has BECOME slander because WE have allowed the word phobic to be slanderous. It just means to be afraid of...how is that slander?? If I tell someone they are afraid of something I'm not slandering them....but with all the to do with racism,,,,we do not like to be called racists and we do not like to be told we are phobic in some way. Not even the same, but that's a different thread.

Protecting oneself is not being mean. I'm allowed to KILL a person who is trying to kill me. Jesus said to be gentle as doves but wise as serpents. He was very upset with what was happening in the temple with the buying and selling...whether it was for that reason alone or whether it was because they were charging exhorbitant prices due to the feast.

I hear "Jesus Christ!!!" many times while watching a move.
Why do I never hear "Mohammed!!"
Because Islam demands respect for their religion.
As should we....
