Contacting the blood of Christ.

I couldn’t agree more.
Furthermore, not any one verse is the end all of any biblical subject, especially when the harmony of the whole counsel of God shows us the truth.

Physical men's bible studies.
The leaders DEMANDED that everyone agree with their doctrine of faith on every point, and would verbally attack anyone who didn't. In all 4 men's bible studies it was very cold and unloving.
I brought up the love, and none wanted to discuss it, as it OBVIOUSLY" wasn't in harmony with their

I did not receive the Holy Spirit either thtough communion or baptism although I have been baptized and I love to take communion. The Holy Spirit just came to me in the middle of the night. I don't know why he picked that time to come. I just know it was a beautiful experience that changed my life. And from that point I was saved. So in remembrance of Christ I continue to take communion. My baptism to me was like a wedding. I will always remember it.
I believe God decided to save me long before I acknowledged him but then this was just my own experience. My opinions are often based on my own experience. I don't know if that's right or wrong.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:1-10
The context is not about “washing away” our sins, it’s about the sin that is certainly still in our physical body not having dominion over us, as we “reckon ourselves dead“ to sin because we have been baptized, “united together”, in the LIKENESS of His death and resurrection.
We all still have sin dwelling in our flesh, in our physical bodies, so we must “reckon ourselves” to be dead, so that we can walk in the newness of life.

And to add, I believe it's how we project those differences LOVINGLY and with much GODLY respect for the other person.
I am a very loving person, I love people, with a very fun loving personality, and absolutely love to joke around and even be silly.
Wherever I go people love my 'jovial" out going friendly, and happy personality.
You wouldn't believe how many times I've been asked what makes me so happy - Boy does that question open doors for God to speak through me, and share about God's love for them !!!

Where do you get "continual" from?
The "contact" isn't symbolic: it is our actual immersion into Christ and into His death, burial and being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life.
How right you are.
It is the blood of Christ that washes off past sins, and that blood is applied at our "immersion" into Christ's death at water baptism.
I'ld like to add..."Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" (1 Peter 4:1)
Water baptism, immersion into Christ's death, is where we "suffer with Christ".
We have "ceased from sin."

So my truck is packed and my son knows I may be evacuated to save my life, and I am on a standby alert.
The fire has now burned nearly 1,000,000 acres - That's ONE MILLION acres, or 1500 square mile.
Pray for everyone here - THIS IS BEYOND EPIC.
I'm typing waiting to hear it's time to evacuate.

The on going "CONTINUAL" practice of participating in weekly Communion, and the "Wine" symbolized as His Blood is answered here.
(1) "For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death (A)till He comes."
(2) "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me (John 6:53-57).
(3) While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”—Matthew 26:26–29

I don't mean to be dence but I want to make sure I understand this. If Christ is the Lamb of God and told us to drink his blood at the Last Supper then are we being saved when we take communion, or does this mean we need to suffer the way Christ suffered physically to be redeemed

Susannah my friend and sister in Christ.
I always warn people to be care to apply much credence to what they "believe" on their own apart from God's word, and be especially careful "not" to apply any truth to your experiences apart from the word.
Satan wants to trick us up and use distractions, and our own thinking to set us apart from God's truth.
God has a specific plan in scripture as to baptism and to receiving the Holy Spirit, and anything apart from that is satans lie, and you have been fooled.

Your not being dense. learning all this is a process, especially when your getting little pieces here and there. That makes it even more confusing and I understand that, as I have been there and had to "unlearn" much of what I was told in the past.
Susannah, read the following 3 verses and see if they make sense to help you.

Reconciled - 2nd Cor.5:18, "All of this is a gift from God who RECONCILED us to Himself through the BLOOD OF CHRIST."
Redeemed -1st Peter 1:18, "You were not REDEEMED with corruptible things, but with the precious BLOOD OF CHRIST."
Justified, Romans 5:9, "We have now been JUSTIFIED by HIS BLOOD."
Sanctified - Hebrews 13:12, "Therefore Jesus also, that He might "SANCTIFY" the people WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, suffered outside the gate."
Atonement - Hebrews 5:9, "...be saved, only through the ATONING BLOOD of CHRIST."
Expiation - Colossians 2:13-14, "(13) "H made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, (14) having cancelled out the certificate of debt consisting of charges against us, bringing death, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, (Expiation), BY HIS BLOOD, having nailed it to the cross in Christ."
Propitiation - Romans 3:24-25, "..our redemption which is in Christ Jesus: whom God displayed publicly as a PROPITIATION in CHRISTS BLOOD.
Forgiveness - Rev. 1:5, Acts 2:38, "To Christ who loves us and has freed us from our sins, acts 2:38, BY HIS BLOOD - Rev. 1:5.
Saved - Hebrews 13:12, "And so Jesus suffered outside the city gate, to make the people holy (Sanctified, set apart, saved) through HIS OWN BLOOD.
Finally, how the blood is applied is an ABSOLUTE TO GOD !!
Romans 5:8-10, "God has given the whole world a Passover Lamb, whose BLOOD WILL FULLY PROTECT those who APPLY IT to their lives.

As you read the Old Testament, God was very specific how during EVERY ceremony requiring the use of blood, and how the blood was to be applied just as God commanded it to be.
In all the above scriptures, each act of God requires the application of Christ's blood through Romans 6:3, water baptism seems to be the only choice we have to honor God in all this.

: I'm not saying my experience didn't align itself with scripture. It did. That's why I knew it was authentic. I'm just saying I did not learn certain things by reading the Bible. The Holy Spirit told me directly what the Bible said. I know people get upset when I say that I skipped over the step of actually reading the Bible. But I do read the Bible. Still the Holy Spirit guides me to passages that I had overlooked. And he tells me which scriptures are more important than others. Like the great commandment to love one another.
I also believe that certain physical suffering brings us closer to Christ. When we are in pain we are close to him and we know more fully what he did for us on the cross. This is just my opinion. I don't think it's in the Bible. It's in the book I'm reading about Mother Teresa St John of the Cross
Endure your trials as “discipline”; God treats you as sons. For what “son” is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are without discipline, in which all have shared, you are not sons but bastards. Besides this, we have had our earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them. Should we not [then] submit all the more to the Father of spirits and live? They disciplined us for a short time as seemed right to them, but he does so for our benefit, in order that we may share his holiness. Part of the cleansing process is to be washed in his blood.” Karl then took his hands and washed his face of imaginary blood that somehow I could see as clearly as anything.
I closed my eyes and I could see what Karl was trying to tell me. I began to imagine that I was standing alone at the edge of a vast desert. I am lonely. I am afraid. I am stained with sin. I have heard of another world—a better world—and I want to go there so badly. Then suddenly Christ appears and tells me that behind him is the place I want to go. “But you must walk through me,” he says with a grave look on his face. “I am the way.” “Trust me,” he says.
In my vision, I take a step toward him and he motions me to stop. “First you must take this basin of blood and wash yourself.” It is the blood of my crucifixion and it will cleanse you of your sins. Only my blood can do this because I am without sin. Come, I am the way.” Suddenly Christ becomes translucent. I realize this is how he must have looked at the Transfiguration on the mountain with Peter, James and John. Then, I wash my face in the basin of blood he gives me and pass through him to the other side. I am ready for the truth and the life.

Thank you for the kind words. I listen to him but most of the time his words are over my head. Perhaps in the future you can help me interpret some of his ideas. He is 49, studies the Bible, and has an I.Q. of 180 which I am told is rare. When he was tested as a teenager he went off the scale. I asked the counselor what he could do with that. He said: "Anything he wants." When he was ten I was an alcoholic and he prayed for me. A week later I got sober. He said that is when he became a true believer. God has been good to both of us. Things are upside down between us. I am the parent, but he is the teacher and I am the student when it comes to scripture.
