Cruise ship refuses to leave dock

I remember an article last year with a deal by a Chinese state-owned company to buy out a $9.7 billion port in Western Australia.

I have no idea if that is the port or if the deal went through I did no research after.

I mean if your demanded to leave and refuse it means you have power. If you won't even obey boarder force then who owns the port?

People are getting so tired of having to lock the entire country down just so a few people can travel to other places, and then infect others. People should stay at home already like they were told to. This is a global emergency.

Are leaders and government authorities allowed to travel?, I guess they are essential service, I mean it's government, government is, and it funds many essential services, all expenses paid of course from the everyday tax payer before lockdown.

Everyone else in whatever district they are from unless authorised by the government just lock down and obey your authorities, they are patrolling so obey your rulers.

we need less made in china more made in the u s a

I agree but for one reason or another I find that most American's actually disagree with that, they don't want manufacturing to return and they want to continue doing business with the totalitarian dictatorship we call China.

Your American right? Why do u suppose so many Americans have this mindset?

The World Health Organization, WHO, is a division of the United Nations
However it is corrupt as well
It has been covering up China's mismanagement of C19
Even praising their actions... Disgraceful

i think maybe that should read many political leaders --as they have investments in china, making big $$$$$$ . most would like a fair paying job ..my wife has a niece working 2 jobs close to 7 days a week at minimum wage both part time. the manufacturing company i work for has suspended operations till the 13th or 27th. due to the virus disrupting our supplies. but yet in china they stay open. there are plenty that want to work. every morning i come in there is temp workers waiting on the floor to go to work. in hopes of getting hired

some might, but most do not and yes i am american

Ok that is good cos what I see from the mainstream media is that we must not oppose the interests of China even if its in conflict with the west.

And also on this forum ive come across so many people who support off shore manufacturing in China. Some have called it un-Christian to oppose it, others have called it necessary while still others say it's brought about peace and friendship.

The cost of living and the comfortable mean standards for life in America is high. So high that many labor intensive jobs are cheaper outside of America than inside.

Americans won't work for the same wages China's workforce will.

Then comes the EPA guidelines. We don't want the toxic sludge here that manufacturers create. China's air is so polluted that often you can't see the other side of the street in the big cities.

Many of the exhaustable resources that China produces are depleting...and they don't care but we do...and we are hanging on to those reserves for exploiting later. (Rare earth elements, and etc)

Renewable resources like wood products, forestry products, foodstuffs, intellectual property, and etc have been a focus here for a long time. Not changing a program that works.

No one is going to pay $200 for cheap sneakers and other small use items like spatulas and coffee cups...so China makes them. They buy plastics from Canada, automation equipment from America, petroleum from Russia and steel from Japan and make things.

...allowed to travel?

They should stay home too, to set the example. All of this traveling during a plague is just spreading the plague. The world would not be locked down today if it weren't for all of those travelers. Don't travel into a plague zone and bring it back to your local community.

Roman roads...
When Rome built roads plagues began...and spread.
There have been plagues before that but they usually were very localized and everyone died within them.

The scriptures detail the constant urbanization and de-urbanization to the point that whole cultures vanished. Plagues played a major role in that.
Bubonic plague has been around since Old Testament biblical days.
It's more recent destruction of Europe's population is what gets the headlines.

Then the plagues Eurpeans brought to the Americas (North and South)...another devastation.

We would like to believe that we are above such things today...we aren't obviously.
