But, just for grins and giggles, I'd like to comment on the thread title.
The word "meet" in the Late Middle English of the King James Version of the Bible is the rough equivalent to the words "appropriate" or "suitable."
KJV (Late Middle English, the English nobody speaks any more)
Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Gen 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
RSV (modern English, the English we speak today)
Gen 2:18 Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him."
Gen 2:20 The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.
HNV (more modern English)
Gen 2:18 The LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."
Gen 2:20 The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field; but for man there was not found a helper suitable for him.
