Scripture Of The Day - Discipling Others

Matthew 28:19,20 - "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them..."

Virtue is always manifested through the blessings that you have passed on. Nothing will be of any importance to you except what you pass on the others.

God wants us to be so in the order of the Spirit that when He breaks upon us the alabaster box of ointments, which represents the anointing the He has for every child of His, we will be filled with holy incense for the sake of others.

In these days, God has for us a blessed inheritance, so that we should no longer be barren or unfruitful, but rather be filled with all fullness, increasing with all increasings, having the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we are always like a great river that presses on into the lives of others.

Scripture Of The Day - We Are Restoration

Psalm 80:19 - "Restore us, O Lord God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved."

Revival and restoration are much needed. And both are possible. God longs for us to claim His promises and exercise our right as members of the royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9).

He waits for us to offer ourselves as instruments to be used by the Holy Spirit. He waits for us to separate ourselves from the world and devote ourselves to His purpose for our life. Christians need to realize and demonstrate that the aim of their life is to serve God and to rescue and equip those for whom Christ shed His blood.

Restoration happens wherever God's people are sacrificing everything to live and work and suffer as Christ did.

Scripture Of Day - Hope Vs. Wishing

Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

The way we use the word "hope" in everyday speech and the meaning of hope used in the Bible are two different things. When we say "I hope so" we simply mean "I desire or I wish."

Bible hope isn't wishing at all. It is earnest confident intense expectation -- and that's something else entirely. Acts 26:6 uses the phrase "hope of the promise" referring to the covenant God made with Abraham. That kind of hope is an earnest intense expectation that comes from God's promises. There's a vast difference between "I wish something would happen" and "I intensely expect that to happen."

Even when there is no natural evidence that what we hope for will come to pass, we can be expectant because we have faith in God's Word. Hope is always expectant, looking toward the future. Faith is always now! Without hope, faith has nothing to bring to pass.

Scripture Of The Day - Advancing In The Day Of His Power

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you." - Isaiah 60:1 NASB

"Arise and Shine." He says to you, "What is your mountain? Where do you have to go to shine to be seen? What do you have to do? For there is a mobilization He is calling you to that is far greater than you've ever known before. You will advance in the day of His power, so stir yourself up, stir yourself up on your most holy faith and get on your boots and get ready to be a mountain climber.

He is calling His people together to go forward -- even now receive a new anointing of faith, receive a new revelation of His PURPOSE for your life, receive a new anointing of strength, receive a new anointing of grace, fear not for He with you. Resist the devil and he will flee, so it's time to shine."

Scripture Of The Day - We Have Eternity In Our Heart

Colossians 2:10 - "And you have been given full life in union with him..."
Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

You have a unique purpose and a destiny that is distinct from any other person who has ever lived.

If you are more concerned about people's opinion of you than God's vision for you, then give-in to peer pressure, and fit in with everyone else. Dress like them -- Act like them -- Eat what they eat -- Spend 70 hours a week watching television like they do -- live on credit like they do, satisfied with barely getting by -- Go where they go -- Think like they think -- talk like they talk.

Be courageous enough to claim your right and affirm your ability to rise to greater heights. You're a rising star in the Kingdom of God. You have inside you the courage and stamina to push away the negativity of conformity. Invite the upward call of Christ in your life to come in.

Psalm 116:1'2 NKJV

1. I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me.
2. Therefore therefore I will call up on Him as l9ng as I live.

Do you think back in thanksgiving when you read these two verses? God listens to every word and plea.
The Lord answers every prayer. Sometimes in an amazing way, sometimes in a way We don't like because He knows what is best. The Lord protects us in His love.

If we really look back we can see just how much God has answered.
What better way to get to know God than by talking and listening to Him more and more.

Joel 2:25

(copied+pasted from www.biblehub.com) : "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-- the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm -- my great army that I sent among you. "

I saw that in a Bible studies class, probably 10 years ago now. I was burned out, done for...

I got saved about 7 years ago. I'm now healthy, surprisingly intelligent, and...for all the labels and such, I think+believe I'm seeing God's work in my life move as described so beautifully in this passage. :)

to me, this teams up with "godly sorrow worketh repentance" to show how God can pull people out of utter darkness and not only spare and forgive and save, but also bring different kinds of healing, wholeness to the new person, the "New Creation, in Christ Jesus..."

Because, as my Bible studies teacher taught me all those years ago: "Jesus didn't die for your sins...He died for -you- "

:)

Scripture Of The Day - Abide In Him

John 15:5 - "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."

Do you ever feel that no matter what you do, you should be doing something more? The truth is that no matter what we do it will never be enough, and that is why God sent His Son. He is not only enough, He is more than enough!

Our goal should be to increase in understanding of our inheritance in Christ and our Right Standing with God and avoid doing things in order to try to obtain from God what He gives us freely by His grace.

Let us always do what we do for God to show our love for Him, and never to buy His love for us. Enter the rest of God, and refuse to live under the pressure of constantly feeling that you need to earn approval in order to be acceptable to God.

Corinthians 3:2-3 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. 3 Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.

2 Corinthians 6:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)
6 As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. 2 For God says,

“At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”

Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

Scripture Of The Day - Apprehending Who We Are In Christ

Ephesians 4:6 - "One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

It does not matter what the enemy brings to you, or tries to bring; the God of power, majesty, and glory can bring you to a place of dethroning everything else! Do you dare to believe it?

We have to apprehend who we are in Christ; we have to understand our right standing with God based on the New Covenant; that we are brought to the place where He is with us in all power, dethroning the power of the Enemy.

The devil is against the living Christ and wants to destroy Him; if you are filled with the living Christ, the Devil is eager to get you out of the way in order to destroy Christ's power.

Pray this to the Lord: "Now, Lord, look after this property of yours." Then the devil cannot get near you. When does He get near? When you dethrone Christ, ignoring His rightful position over you, in you, and through you.

Scripture Of The Day - Focusing On God's Word

2 Peter 1:3,4 - "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and VERY GREAT PROMISES, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature..."

If you are facing a faith challenge, the very first thing you should do is go to the Word and find the promise of God that covers your situation. 2 Peter 1:3,4 is our assurance that there is such a promise for everything.

Once you have found the promise, and have settled it in your heart, focus your attention on it by affirming it out loud, meditating on it, and visualizing it coming to pass.

Since we have come into agreement with God's Word through faith and what we speak, Jesus is our Apostle and High Priest; He stands with us on the promises of His Word and desires for us to step fully into them.

Scripture Of The Day - RECEIVING IMPARTATION OF RENEWED VISION

"Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength." - Isaiah 40:28-29

No matter how good our intentions may be today, in a short time, we will become tired, discouraged, and worn down. Then we will begin to doubt everything that we had been enthusiastic about.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31

Our devotional life is not just something that we should do because we understand that we should spend time with the Lord. Rather, it is much more than this. It includes not only fellowship and communion with Him, but also the impartation of renewed vision regarding our calling in Christ and spiritual strength within us.

As we wait in His presence, we may not see or feel all that is taking place, but as we continue to pursue his PURPOSE for our life and "press toward the mark for the prize of His high calling," we will gradually become aware that we have made much spiritual progress.

Do not let the enemy rob you; instead, come to this singleness of vision.

"One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after..." Psalm 27:4

Scripture Of The Day - The Power of Praise

Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

It is easy to say "Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!" when times are good. It is easy to believe the God loves you when you are on the mountaintop enjoying the sunshine. But what happens when you are down in the dark valley surrounded by your enemies?

When King Jehosaphat was surrounded by his enemies, He acted with wisdom from on high. Instead of putting his commandos in front, he put worshipers in front! They sang of God's love for them -- "Praise the Lord for His love endures forever!" And God utterly destroyed their enemies! (2 Chronicles 20:21-23)

So whatever trials you are in today, don't be afraid. God is there with you strengthening and upholding you. Just sing of His love for you and let Him fight your battles for you!

Scripture Of The Day - Oneness With Christ

John 16:14 - "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you."

Christ promised that the Holy Spirit would flow as living water from those who believe in Him. The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Christ in order that the life of the Godhead might dwell in us.

Each new day we must begin with this conviction: Christ and I are one and the Holy Spirit will make this a reality for me. As the branch is in the vine, so we are in Christ and He in us.

In Childlike faith, fix your heart upon Christ and trust that the Holy Spirit will reveal Christ to you and in you. You will be able to confidently say, "Christ and I are one! Christ is my life!"

Scripture Of The Day - Washing With Water By The Word

John 13:8 -- Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him,
"If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."

Peter could not imagine Jesus wanting to wash his feet -- his shocked reaction being "Lord, how can You wash my feet!"

Jesus says to him: "Peter, if I don't wash your feet, you have no part with Me." What the Lord was actually saying to Peter was, "Peter you cannot walk together with Me in ministry, in service, and in effectiveness if you don't let Me wash your feet."

John 13:9,10 -- "Then, Lord, Simon Peter replied, 'not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!' Jesus answered, 'A person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And you are clean.....'"

Once we have received Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are bathed all over, and cleansed by His blood once and for all eternity! His blood has perfected us forever (Hebrews 10:14), and we only need to wash our feet because we walk in the world and our feet pick up dust and dirt, causing us to stumble.

HOW DOES JESUS WASH OUR FEET TODAY?

Ephesians 5:25-26 tells us that "Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word."

We, the Church, are cleansed with the washing of water by the Word. The more we come under anointed teaching that unveils Christ through the Word, the more the cleansing goes on. And as our feet are washed, instead of stumbling, we will be walking in God's purpose for our life ever-advancing His Kingdom!

Affirmation:

I LET JESUS WASH MY FEET WITH A DEEPER REVELATION OF HIMSELF THROUGH HIS WORD.

Scripture Of The Day - GOD IS FAITHFUL THROUGH TIMES OF CHANGE

"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." - 1 Timothy 1:7

In order to see a change, we must be willing to be part of the change.

That means:

becoming uncomfortable in our comfort zones so that God can propel us into catalytic faith action;

it means coming to understand our inheritance in Christ, our right standing with God, and God's purpose for our life.

it means being willing to not only mix with but also move with others we may not know well whom God will place in our paths;

it means taking faith "risks" that are investments in trusting God for the unknown even when that is contrary to our present experience;

it means being obedient to simple instructions from the Lord without necessarily having the "five-year plan" and knowing details in advance.

Above all, it is about trusting God to enlarge our capacity to hear and respond in faith, decisively, humbly, and with His great love for mankind.

May God enable us to be Kingdom agents of change by His grace as we learn to surrender ongoingly to His will and to continue to follow the direction of the Holy Spirit.

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." - Isaiah 41:13

"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 1:6
