Scripture Of The Day - Life In The Holy Spirit

Galatians 4:6 - "Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."

As the Holy Spirit was in Christ, so He is in us. Through the Spirit, Christ indwelling becomes an experiential reality, forming and manifesting in us the mind and disposition of Jesus.

Furthermore, the Spirit of God equips us for God's service by revealing His purpose for our lives. The Spirit will enable us to overcome the world and its entanglements, and bear witness to the possibilities of Christ's life in us.

He will fill us with the love for God's people as we continually pray for it and receive it in our heart -- with love for those who dislike or ignore us; and with love for those who do not yet know Christ, so that we pray for them and are ready to help them. We continually allow Him to fill our heart with the love of Christ and expect revelation of what the Spirit of God can do in and through us.

So many times in these latter years, I feel so overwhelmed and let out a big sigh and say "Oh Father..."

Scripture Of The Day - Instruments To Be Used By The Holy Spirit

Psalm 80:19 - "Restore us, O Lord God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved."

Revival and restoration are much needed. And both are possible. God longs for us to claim His promises and exercise our right as members of the royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9).

He waits for us to offer ourselves as instruments to be used by the Holy Spirit. He waits for us to separate ourselves from the world and devote ourselves to His purpose for our life.

Christians need to realize and demonstrate that the aim of their life is to serve God and to rescue and equip those for whom Christ shed His blood. Restoration happens wherever God's people are sacrificing everything to live and work and suffer as Christ did.

Scripture Of The Day - Fruit Bearing For The Kingdom

Luke 6:46 - "Why do you call Me, Lord, and do not practice what I tell you?"

It is dangerous for one to think that they are spiritually mature because they attend a lot of church services, have a large library of Christian books, and read their Bible regularly.

The proof of our true spiritual maturity is seen in our fruit that remains that is produced by our faith and obedience (John 15:5). Now is the time to ask yourself what you know to do that you aren't doing, and then correct by taking faith-filled action. God is ready to help you if you will take the step of faith to advance to the next level in His purpose for your life.

Scripture Of The Day - Advancing God's Calling On Our Life

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 - "All athletes are disciplined in their training...So I run with purpose in every step...I discipline my body like an athlete training it to do what it should. Otherwise I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified."

You may not feel like a person of divine Destiny when you wake up every day, but that's just your feelings. Your future is not rooted in how you feel, but in how you act.

You cannot fulfill your Destiny in Christ on feelings. The way you feel changes based on different variables -- don't give in to your feelings. Emotions are the saboteurs of Destiny.

Beat your feelings into captivity through mental discipline by affirming and meditating on God's Word that supports and advances His calling on your life.

Scripture Of The Day - Living In Him

1 John 4:4 - "But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world."

You may hear some Believers use the phrase, "I suppose I'm doing pretty well under the circumstances." Because you, as a victorious child of God, don't have any business living your life "under" your circumstances.

You don't have any business letting problems and situations rule over you. Through His death at Calvary, Jesus legally entered the regions of the damned and stripped Satan of everything. Then Jesus turned around and gave that victory to you.

You have overcome through Jesus because He lives in you. You never have to live "under" the circumstances again.

Scripture Of The Day - Embracing A Christ Consciousness

Luke 6:8 - "But He was aware all along of their thoughts..."

God always knows all of our thoughts. Our blessings and our problems are rooted in either right or wrong thinking -- we reap what we sow. Thoughts are seeds that produce a harvest in our lives.

If we want to have more peace or be more joyful we cannot stay trapped in a secular consciousness thinking and meditating on problems, on what we cannot do, and how weak we are.

Before you get up in the morning, practice "on purpose" thinking -- think yourself into a Christ consciousness that believes in the abundant life you were meant to have. God is doing a new thing in your life and He wants you to think accordingly.

Scripture Of The Day - Honoring The Blood

Ephesians 4:32 - "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Our forgiving someone doesn't have anything to do with what that person did or didn't do to us. We forgive them because of the blood. God honored the blood and forgave us. For us not to forgive would be to dishonor that blood.

When you dishonor the blood of Jesus, you're stepping out from under its protective covering into the devil's territory. You're stepping out into darkness where he can take advantage of you.

Affirmation:

I don't care what anyone may do to me, I won't let their mistreatment of me push me out into darkness. No, I'll just honor the blood of Jesus, forgive them and keep right on walking in the light.

Forgiveness is one of the most powerful forces in existence. To walk in forgiveness is to walk in victory.

Scripture Of The Day - Standing Upon Your Faith

Matthew 4:1 - "Jesus was the led away by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil."

The word "tempted" actually means "tested or proven in adversity."

Before Jesus was led to do wonders, He was led to do battle. The Father proved the character of His Son through conflict. It is in spiritual warfare that what God has taught us is tested.

Life consists of learning lessons and passing tests. The integrity of God requires that our learning not be mere head knowledge, but that our heart be conformed to Christ so that Christ will be something we instinctively choose in the midst of temptation or battle.

TIMING -- NOT TIME

Ecclesiastes 3:1 - "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

Sometimes there are some divinely permitted delays in manifesting what you're believing God for: ie. He permits things not to come to pass until He can get you to a certain position.

If you are fighting the good fight of faith -- declaring and confirming your faith with the Word of God and standing firm upon it -- and there is a delay, that is not the time to let go of your faith and give up! The devil will try to deceive you into thinking your faith is not working or that God is not going to come through for you.

Scripture Of The Day - His Victory Is Our Victory

2 Timothy 2:8 - "Constantly keep in mind Jesus Christ, the Messiah, risen from the dead." AMP

Remember that when Jesus arose, you arose. When He came out of hell and defeated the enemy, you came out of hell and defeated the enemy. His victory is your victory because you're in Him. In the hard places, remember that.

When the devil tells you that you're not going to get your answer this time, remember, Jesus Christ, risen from the dead. Think about it until it's etched into your heart so deeply that nothing Satan says or does can get it out of you.

That's when the devil won't be able to talk you out of your inheritance with trials and tribulations. Keep in mind Jesus Christ, risen from the dead!

Scripture Of The Day - Keeping Self In Its Proper Place

Luke 17:18 - "Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”

All ten lepers needed physical healing and Jesus was moved with compassion and met their needs. He also desired to meet their spiritual needs, but only one out of the ten came back to give thanks.

Being unthankful is always a sign that self is exalting itself above God. A selfless person can be content with very little. A self-centered person cannot be satisfied. Thankfulness is a sign of humility and cultivating a life of thankfulness will help keep "self" in its proper place. Thankfulness to the Lord for what He is and what He has done is a very important part of the Christian life.

Giving thanks is a totally unselfish action and is a key to relationship with the Father that makes us "whole" and not just "healed."

Scripture Of The Day - Drawing Power Of Joy

Psalm 32:11,33:1 "Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!... Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him."

Never underestimate the drawing power of joy. It's like a blazing fire that captures the attention of people in darkness.

Joy -- the process of catching fire and burning as a result of heat which comes from the Holy Spirit!

It's time to rejoice, to rise up out of our exhaustion, and implement the power of praise. When you do, you'll enter a domain of power, freedom, and the joy of the Lord. It's a domain that's alive and shines with the presence of God.

Throw off those old inhibitions. Take God at His Word. Leap. Shout. Sing. Be ready to obey the Spirit of God. Let yourself catch fire in your spirit and never stop burning!

Scripture Of The Day - Calling To The Warrior Inside You

1 Corinthians 2:9 - " But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

This is a time to call to the warrior inside of you. Spiritual eyes, senses, and hearts are being opened like never before.

Regarding the very things you thought had passed you over, the things you spoke of, saying, "It's too late. It's not my time, and I have missed my season." It's up to you how far you want to go and how high you want to reach.

The warrior inside of you is bursting forth. Believe that the fire will begin to be birthed out of you in such a way that people will be drawn to your love and passion for Jesus. Don't let anything or anyone hold you back. You were called for such a time as this.

Scripture Of The Day - The Focus Of Angelic Activity

Revelation 4:1 - "After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven..."

You may not be aware of it, but you are a focus of angelic activity. Angels are coming and going. God is moving. Your prayers are being attended to.

As a child of God, like Jacob did at Bethel, you stand under an open Heaven. An "open Heaven" simply means that there is nothing standing between you and your Father and all the resources of Heaven.

You are in a place of divine appointment in advancing in His purpose for your life. Today, it may seem as though your plans have stalled, but God's plans remain secure. Your Father has not forgotten you.

Scripture Of The Day - Speak Over The Atmosphere

1 Thessalonians 5:17 - "Pray without ceasing."

Prayer walk around your home. Lay your hands on every window and door, commanding the atmosphere of Heaven to come. Invite the Holy Spirit to infuse each room with righteousness, peace, and joy. Command all atmospheres that do not line up with the Kingdom of God to be removed immediately, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Speak over the atmosphere of your home -- "As it is in Heaven, so it will be here in my home!" Desire to live in the atmosphere of Heaven every day.

Banish emotional numbness from your life and release your heart to feel the wonder of belonging to Jesus. Enjoy the process of sensing and seeing radical atmosphere changes that will impact your entire household—even those who are not yet Believers.

Scripture Of The Day - Building Up Faith In His Word

Jesus said to His disciples, "...Let us pass over unto the other side" (Mark 4:35). However, they soon faced a disruption. "And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full" (Mark 4:37).

Some Believers have been continually hit by life's circumstances and it feels as if they are breaking you apart. The disruption of the enemy has left man wondering if God has forgotten His word to you.

The Lord would say unto you -- "You are going to pass over to the other side. You will come out on the other end of this trial. I have not forgotten you. Hold on ty My promises. Cling to My Word." Just as He spoke peace to their situation, He asked them two questions: "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?"

During the trying times, we must fight against the spirit of fear and rise up in faith. "So then faith comes by hearing and hearing, by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17). When Jesus asked them the question "How is that you have no faith?" He, in essence, was saying, "Where is your faith in my Word? I told you that we were going to pass over to the other side."

Scripture Of The Day - Power Vs. Love?

1 Corinthians 13:1,2 - "13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing."

Power or Love?

This question is often posed among Believers. Sometimes it is said in other ways. We might say, "Seek the Giver not the gifts." We might point out 1 Corinthians 13 -- "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels...though I have the gift of prophecy...though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains..." because that was the post-Pentecost assumptive standard for ministry.

There was never to be a juxtaposition of power vs. love. The standard was and IS that you should have this POWER, but it benefits YOU nothing if you are not motivated by love. But other people DO profit from demonstrations of the supernatural power.

There never was a standard that powerless Christianity is okay as long as you have love. If it were so, Jesus would not have told them to go wait in an upper room for supernatural POWER (Acts 1:8). He would have just said, "Remember to be loving with people as I have shown you for 3 plus years."

Scripture Of The Day - Listening To His Voice

Psalm 96:2–3 TPT - "Don't stop! Keep on singing! Make His name famous! Tell everyone every day how wonderful He is. Give them the good news of our great Savior. Take the message of His glory and miracles to every nation. Tell them about all the extraordinary things He has done."

Start a list today. Document every blessing or gift God has given you throughout your lifetime. Now, thank Him for everything He has given you. Each of those blessings is a miracle!

After you consider this list and recognize the miracles God has already given to you, you will share your testimony with many and develop the expectation that Jesus wants to work through you.

As you are walking in the Spirit, listen for His voice 24 hours a day. He may want to heal the cashier when you stop at the drugstore. Willingly allow Him to work through your voice and your hands to minister healing to the cashier, busboy, waiter, cab driver, or anyone else you encounter during a busy day. Continually talk about the miracle-working power of God.

Scripture Of The Day - Exercising Our Dominion In Christ

Isaiah 27:1 - "In that day the Lord with His hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and He will slay the dragon that is in the sea."

The spirit of Leviathan is an ancient evil principality. It has been lingering around in the waters of the earth for far too long. It brings chaos and confusion, boa-constricting the life out of people, destinies, dreams, regions, and organizations.

The spirit of Leviathan is not only a snake on the earth but is also a sea serpentine creature. Storms are caused by this spirit. Hurricanes are caused by this principality, and we as the Church must be "weather warriors" and release full dominion through the air and the seas.

There is a war in the heavenlies but we, the Church, are victorious! We must stand strong and remain fearless for the Lord is anointing us to have victory in these perilous times of trouble. Psalm 74:14 - "You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness."
