Psalm 56:3,4 NKJV

3. Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You.
4. In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me?

I have to memorize those two verses.

God Bless you all.

Verses like this helped me get though my depression. When I am troubled, I go to the Psalms!

Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life.

A Living Sacrifice
Romans 12:1 "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

What a wonderful time of year to really take these two verses very seriously. If we would read, pray over, and present our bodies (the Temple of the Holy Spirit) a living sacrifice, we would enter a new dimension of the will of God.

This is right where I'm living right now. I've retired as a teacher of 28 years and my ministry to students is over (for the most part). I now have time to fully minister to my wife, giving my body as a sacrifice to the Lord as I meet her needs, listening to her, helping her around the house more (I'm now the kitchen cleaner upper!) and working to becoming a more in tune spiritual leader in the home. It's my desire to be a servant leader as Jesus showed us. Serve one another in love!

God bless Chopper!

This is another verse that I found while reading my message Bible last night. There are actually two that I really like, but I will save the other one for tomorrow. And believe it or not I am remembering more and more verses that I am reading and posting now.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said, "If? There are no if's among believers. Anything can happen."

Today's verse also comes from the book of Mark which is the other one I loved that I mentioned yesterday.

Mark 9:24 "No sooner were the words out of His mouth than the father cried, "Then I believe help me with my doubts!"

You know what's incredible, that when we're children we don't seem to doubt our faiths at all, but when we get older that starts to happen. I guess that's what it meant when it talked about those that don't have the mind of a child will never see the kingdom of God. Children never reject Jesus because they never reject the idea of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny either. Not like I'm comparing Jesus to them but it sort of makes sense to me now.

2 Samuel 22:29 -31 NKJV

29. "For you are my lamp, O Lord;
The Lord shall enlighten my darkness.
30. For by You I can run against a troop;
By my God I can leap over a wall;
31. As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him."

I am going to write this down and carry it with me every day of this week, and take it out of my pocket to read whenever I get the chance.

'How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the law of the Lord . How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, Who seek Him with all their heart.'

I have been following along, great verses, comments and insight everyone has been bringing out :). The Psalms are always a soul soother.
Keep up the good work my friend.

Even though I'm currently in the book of John, I was searching for a verse having to do with what I'm going through right now and I found this;

Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." So short, so simple, yet that is exactly what I needed to hear.

2 Corinthians 12 :9-11
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

'Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.'

Psalms 51:12
https://www.bible.com/bible/100/PSA.51.12

I waver. I falter. Help me Lord to have a spirit that longs to obey. Help me to be willing and longing in my walk with You each and every day.

Help me to see the joy in my salvation and to wear that joy each day, renewed in You.

amen

BTW, read the 51st Psalm in its entirety. It's a wonderful Psalm.

Philippians 4:8 NKJV

"Finally. brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things."

Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in this world. That cross and resurrection at the core of the Gospel is the only hope for humanity. Wherever you go, ask God for wisdom on how to get that Gospel in, even in the toughest situations of life. Ravi Zacharias

1Corinthians 15:19 "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
15:20 7, and become the firstfruits of them that slept."

O Papa, WE HAVE HOPE!!

Revelation 3:17-20

17. "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' - and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked -

18. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

20. Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and he with Me."
