Scripture Of The Day - Willingness To Advance In Our Spiritual Life

John 20:21 - "So Jesus said to them again, 'Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.'"

Possessing what belongs to us in our Christian walk requires change. Unless we choose to progressively walk beyond our own mindsets, we remain spiritually stagnant.

Regardless of how long we have been a believer we need to understand who we are in Christ, our right standing with God, and how to walk in the Spirit.

Church, Sunday school classes, and Bible study courses can only go so far in bringing us to the level we need to advance in God's purpose for our life. If we're not moving forward, it's likely that we need some mentoring to help us to fully understand Jesus' finished work on the cross so we can begin to bear fruit for God's Kingdom.

I find that very encouraging. Thank you
RE: 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Standing still does not require prayer. The Holy Spirit takes care of the temptation or problem if you do not participate in any way. This requires turning away (not praying or meditating, or thinking about the problem or possible solutions) and letting the Holy Spirit handle the problem.

Scripture Of The Day - Cashing The Blank Check

John 15:7 - "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

God says you have the potential to receive whatever you ask. You have a blank check -- but there is one condition on the cashing of that check: You must abide in Christ, and His word must abide in you. Jesus wants to knock the limits off your mind.

But first He requires that you stay hooked up with God. Jesus sees in you the potential to do greater things than He did (John 14:12). If Jesus says you have that potential, it's in there somewhere.

God believes in you.

He knows the vastness of your potential. If He gives you an assignment, He's already given you the ability to fulfill what He asks. Only as you are connected to God, can you fulfill and maximize your true potential.

Scripture Of The Day - Nourished By His Love

John 15:9 - "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love."

In your workplace you probably take coffee breaks and lunch breaks -- Why not do the same in your spiritual life -- take time out for a love break?

What is a love break?

It is the time you take to enjoy and feed on the love of Jesus for you. As you spend time feeding on the love of Jesus for you, you will see yourself nourished, strengthened and sustained by His Love and also see it flowing through you into the lives of others.

During the day, when you are hard at work, when busyness sets in, when problems pile up or when discouragement comes, just stop everything and take a love break with Jesus! Let Jesus love you. Let yourself enjoy being loved by Him. Abide in His love and be nourished by His love for you!

Scripture Of The Day - Coming With Boldness To The Throne Of Grace

Romans 4:5 - "And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,"

Romans 4:5 talks about faith that believes God justifies the ungodly. When you believe that God justifies the ungodly it will give you boldness to come to God, even when you feel unclean because you have just blown it.

When you fail, don't run away from God. Run boldly to Him, knowing that you are justified by the blood of Christ and not by your good behavior. The devil may say to you, "How can you do that? Who do you think you are?" Don't listen to him. Pick yourself up and thank God for the blood and the gift of no condemnation (Romans 8:1).

If God justifies the ungodly, how much more you, His beloved child!

Scripture Of The Day - Changing Your Perspective

2 Chronicles 20:20 - "Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established."

God wants to give us higher ground, holier thoughts, and a more concentrated, clearer ministry to others. God wants us to be a rising tide every day. This rising tide is an attitude of the spirit where God rises higher and higher. He wants us to come to the place where we will never look back (Genesis 19:15-26).

So change your perspective so that you will know that God is operating through you for this time and forevermore.

Believe that the Holy Spirit is awakening you to deep things today.

Are you ready to move and be moved by the mighty power of God that cannot be moved, and to be so chastened and built up that you are in the place where it doesn't matter where the wind blows or what difficulty comes because you are fixed in God?

Scripture Of The Day - Power Of Jesus' Name

Philippians 2:10 - "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,"

If you've been born again, you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. You are a joint heir with Him. You are covenanted together with Almighty God by the blood of Jesus. You've been given Jesus' own name. that's the kind of confidence you need to have about the Name of Jesus. You need to know you've been named after Him.

Know that when you speak, you're speaking with His authority. "Faith comes from hearing and hearing, by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17). Go back to the Word and study the Name. Then when you use it, you'll have the sense of authority on the inside that is founded on the living Word.

Scripture Of The Day - Confessing God's Word

Romans 10:10 - "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Many believers try to believe for a miracle without spending enough time in the Word to change their heart and mind. They just want to confess it with their mouths and have it instantly appear. But that won't happen.

It's what we believe in our hearts and say with our mouths that we receive. "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). So start filling the ears of your heart with the Word until faith for your miracle is born.

God's power is always present everywhere. Your faith will bring it into your life, body or circumstances. So reach out to Jesus. Believe, confess, meditate on the Word and receive your miracle.

Scripture Of The Day - One Thing Is Necessary

Luke 10:41,42 - " But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

Meditation on God's Word and promises can help you stay focused on your spiritual goals and to keep the main thing in front of you.

Don't give in to the temptations of pettiness. Rise above it and keep your mind focused. Mary and Martha remind us of the importance of maintaining focus on our purpose -- our main goal in life -- staying in tune and connected with God.

Quiet time, reflecting on scripture, worship, singing, and praying are all ways we can raise our spiritual consciousness. Conserve your energy by not responding to minor issues and keep your focus on God's purpose for your life.

Scripture Of The Day - Now Is The Day Of Salvation

There are two processes of salvation. First, God helped you when the Spirit was moving you to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Second, He keeps you in the plan of His salvation. In the process of regeneration, you are being made like God; you are being brought into the operation of the Spirit's power. This is the great day of salvation, a day of moving on for God.

If we remain stationary, God has nothing for us. We must see that we must progress. Yesterday will not do for today. Today is a day in which God is enrapturing the heart -- getting our heart to the place where it is responsive only to His cry, where we live and move honoring and glorifying God in our spirit.

We are now in the operation of the Holy Spirit. Every day you must seek God's purpose for your life and climb to higher ground, refusing everything that is not pure and holy and separate.

Scripture Of The Day - Attacking The Judgment Consciousness

2 Corinthians 5:19 - "...God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them..."

No judgment will fall on you today because it fell on Jesus 2000 years ago at Calvary. And if God was gracious enough to remove Lot and his family before the judgment fell (Genesis 19:12-22), how much more will He do for you who are no longer under judgment!

Don't be judgment-focused and look back at the sins you have committed. He remembers that He has already judged and punished your sins in the body of His Son. And because He is faithful to His Son and to what His Son has done, He will never judge or punish you.

Any trouble that might have today is not from Him. He is out to bless you. And He wants you blessed more than you can ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Scripture Of The Day - Life In The Spirit

2 Corinthians 6:3 - "Give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed."

There are thousands of different churches, but they are all one in the Spirit to the extent that they receive the life of Christ. If there is any division, it is always outside of the Spirit.

The spiritual life in the believer never has known dissension, because where the Spirit has perfect liberty, there is total agreement, and there is no schism in the body. "The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life" (2 Corinthians 3:6).

When there is division, it is only because people choose the letter instead of the Spirit. If we are in the Spirit, we will have life. If we are in the Spirit, we will love everybody. If we are in the Spirit there will be no division; there will be perfect harmony.

Scripture Of The Day - Becoming What We Focus And Gaze Upon

Ephesians 6:10 - "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might."

Sometimes the battle is so ingrained in us that we are constantly walking in war-mode, even before the presence of the Lord. During this very key time, there must be a walking away from the mixture and rudiments of men and follow the Lord God in His fullness.

Tucked away in the faith of God's promises there is rest, power, and strategy. The more deeply we seek God in our times with Him, the more we begin to see solutions regarding His purpose for our life.

We truly begin to understand that surely there are more for us than those who are against us (2 Kings 6:16). The reality of "greater is He who is within us than he who is in the world" comes alive. Light begins to shine into the darkness and we begin to see the morning sun as it crests within us -- we become what we gaze and focus upon.

Scripture Of The Day - Called To Be A Warrior

Psalm 63:1 - "God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water."

He's looking for you to find Him on a deeper level. He's waiting for you to hear Him in a new way. Dust yourself off and begin to walk on your own.

You can't drown in the circumstances around you anymore. It's time to war and be the warrior He has called you to be. It's time to adjust your armor. You have been feeling the wounds and the scars from the battles you have been warring against. Your mind and heart have grown tired and weary; but now, in this season, it's a time to stand up straight and adjust your armor.

It's time to seek, pray, fast and read the Word in a new way. 2020 is a new season and God wants to speak to you and reach you on a new level of understanding and revelation.

Scripture Of The Day - Laying Aside Every Encumbrance

Ephesians 2:6 - "For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus."

We cannot fall for the lie that God isn't currently fully engaged and active in our lives when we can't see what He's doing behind the clouds. When we get earth-based, we forget to look up and realize that is where we are grounded.

It's time to fully disengage from the things and mindsets that hinder forward movement. It is only through doing things at high altitudes that we get used to the height, and pretty soon we are soaring! In Christ, we are grounded, grafted into Him.

He wants to get us to the point where we are constantly looking up, living up, coming up and rising up as we live out GOD'S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIFE on Earth.

Scripture Of The Day - Obsessed With Jesus

Mark 8:29 - "And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, 'You are the Christ.'”

Matthew 6:33 - "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else."

Jesus pulls us aside to show us the one thing we should be most obsessed with, and that is the Person of Who He is and His Kingdom. God wants to create a passion and obsession in our hearts for Him, where nothing else gets in the way.

The Lord says that when we seek Him with our "whole hearts" we will find Him. People are finding lots of things to take their minds in different directions. Ask God to give you a whole-hearted desire to seek Him first.

To seek God first means you will have to sacrifice different things in your life. When you begin to take steps in that direction He will meet you there to encourage you to keep laying things down.

Scripture Of The Day - Proclaiming Solutions

Job 22:28 - "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways."

Isaiah 61:1-3 - "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor...to proclaim freedom for the... to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor..."

Let's cry out, proclaim, herald, and even decree. We speak on behalf of the King, do we not? As His own sons and daughters, we can proclaim God's truth with joyful confidence in any situation. Instead of only praying problems, begin to proclaim solutions.

Each time you proclaim the power of God over your life and the lives of the people around you, the promises of scripture come to fruition. Let's make full use of the power of proclamation. Let's decree things and see them established.

To implement our calling in Christ we are to pray God's promises. praise Him with our whole hearts, and release proclamations of prophetic blessings. Let's take up our position as sons and daughters of the King of Kings and facilitate the advancement of His Kingdom for the glory of God!

Scripture Of The Day - Resurrecting Dead Souls

Hebrews 11:6 (TPT) says, "And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that He is real and that He rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking Him."

We need to start thinking differently. When we define our methods by the world's standards, we taint our ability to see clearly through eyes of faith. What we put into our minds is what grows. What we put into our hearts and souls is what will begin to flourish.

We must start from the foundation of knowing the voice of God through His Word (by affirming, meditating on, and visualizing yourself in His Word). Our foundation must be built on Jesus' finished work and exactly what authority it bought for the Believer.

As Believers in Christ we carry that same abundant, transforming spirit of Jesus to resurrect dead souls into the light and life of Christ!
