that island is near the bridge. in the turn of the century of the 20th century from the 19th, one could wade out to the island. where the boats are is the area called the narrows. it was very narrow, and called that on maps. the dredging was done to create an ease of boat travel. StoveBolts the area of the pano showing that bridge was hidden by the severe rain when you were texting me. I couldn't see the top of that bridge that I stood at(the crest is where I took the pano). the sunset was added to show the two churches. ironically the one with the cross is apostate despite being nearly as old as the one with the steeple. I worked at that one 20 years ago. and these two were next door to each other one hundred years ago as was a Lutheran church. sad isn't it? three churches next to each other and yet division like that. I should do a thread on that. its interesting. all three have online photos of old church days( the Baptist, and lutheran ones I have taken photos of their starting churches) the Lutheran one still stands and I have been in that old homestead. the community church one(the apostate one ) started in the womans club and that too I have been in and have photos. As much as they did for the county with the faith, its sad to think that community church is that apostate now. the womans club it self is another thread.

Wow, such natural beauty! And the water looks beautiful! It's kinda cool seeing where you were at at the time we were texting. My view wouldn't be so impressive lol!

About the three churches, no wonder our country is no longer a Christian country. I believe God has been removing his candlestick as to remove the ugly that's entered his Church.

In our area, most of the small churches are dwindling and the pews are filled with older people that refuse to unite with their brethren across the street while they continually examine the sliver in their brothers eye.

After 18 years at our current church, my wife and I are starting to attend a different church. While unconventional, we attend Bible Study class at our old church, then promptly leave to go to worship at the new church.

We've been doing this for almost 2 months...nobody has said anything to us about it.
