Just a reminder that we really don't do politics on this site guys...
I concur.

I would also add this. As we get closer to the 2020 elections, this site will not be used as a political springboard to support or demonize ANY political party.

The first and second for starters.
You mean the first two amendments in the bill of rights or the first two I listed?
Limiting the President to two terms
And voting rights

Now more than ever the wisdom of limiting the President to two terms is evident. Too many people would warmly welcome what would be in effect a dictator or king. No thanks.

I can't imagine what is more important in any form of democracy than assurance that law abiding citizens get to vote.

The founders knew they had not crafted a perfect document. Nor that every aspect of it would be appropriate for all times.
Therefore they made changing it very arduous, but not impossible. That is why they included the instructions to amend it.

Right. The left has been attacking free speech and gun rights the most.

The only amendment worth working on at this point is term limits for Congress, but I doubt very highly that Congress will actually pass such an amendment. I wonder if there is a way for voters to get an amendment passed by going around Congress?

Amendments must be approved by 3/4 of the states. The up or downs take place there not in Washington.
True, but it is Congress that will propose the new amendments that will then be passed to the states for ratification, if it gets through Congress. There have been numerous attempts at a Congressional Term limit amendment that have gone nowhere.
