Do they have the mark?

Zechariah 14:1-5 is a description of Jerusalem in the final days/hours leading up to Christ’s advent. These verses describe a fortress siege where half the inhabitants/survivors are protected by Christ.

My question: Do these survivors that Christ fights for have the mark?

There is no way to answer your question with scripture.

Any attempt at an answer would be speculation and conjecture.

Hello Joe,

Nice to see a real name.

Let me reword the question: Based on speculation and conjecture, do you think that Christ is going to fight for (and provide flee instructions) to a group (inside the walls of the old city of Jerusalem)which all have the-mark-of-the-beast?

You guys are tough. Let me re-re-word the question:Based on your own speculation and conjecture, do you think that Christ is going to fight for (and provide flee instructions) to a group (inside the walls of the old city of Jerusalem)which all have the-mark-of-the-beast?

You're kidding, right?

If not, you should be.

In the interests of what 'a mark' or being 'marked' or taking a 'mark' really is, scripturally speaking, the term carries quite a diversity of meanings and applications:

[shmar] in Hebrew:

Usage in the KJV:
keep 283, observe 46, heed 35, keeper 28, preserve 21, beware 9, mark 8, watchman 8, wait 7, watch 7, regard 5, save 2, misc 9

Mark well
what is being said in the above. Does the term itself merely mean an external mark in the text? Uh, no. On the list that is rather far down.

Believers who have discussions about the 'mark' of the beast and then relegate it merely to some external mark on the hand or forehead have already been 'left behind' in understandings and are losing the race, after a fashion.

enjoy!

hey, smaller, I have missed your posts, such as the one above. It hits the 'mark'.

Thanks Deb. You are one of my favorite posters here as well. You DO put thought to the matters.

I do prefer posters who are not brain dead for some odd reason.

Discussing the mark for example as an external matter fell by the wayside for me decades ago as untenable. It just doesn't work. Anymore than 'it worked' for the Old Testament Jews to hang little scrolls around their foreheads by a string or hang them on their hands. It's actually just a ridiculous 'external notion' of the matters and nothing more, as if that solves anything? But then again I got to be the way I am by being exceptionally harsh on my own understandings, not wanting to follow 'fantasy faith' of my own making aka idol worship.

enjoy!

There are two marks being given out you know. One is bad, being the mark of the beast, but the other is good and saves people from the destruction. It is found here:

Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Eze 9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

Eze 9:6 Slay utterly old [and] young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom [is] the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which [were] before the house.

Not only are you folks unaware of that but you have no idea who is the one bestowing that mark either.

Exactly. Bingo!! Good example of scripture.
If we look at the Bible as a whole...never...does it mention that God's people have been taken out. And in the new testament---I don't see us being taken out before many have fallen at our side. The tares will be bundled first.
Read all the events...Noah's arc, sodom and Gomorrah, Passover (Egypt's plagues),etc...notice that the unsaved are never "left behind".
So when we are all marked...depends on if you are hiding in and marked by the Holy one of Israel or having the mark of the beast.

Thanks for sharing...JoseyWales...
Blessings...
