The seven churches in Asia is a message for all of us to keep examining ourselves that we remain pleasing unto the Father.

I re-read my testimony about the Lord helping me when I did something stupid, and I think I was unable to articulate the full impact of the testimony in my post, because I left too much out of it. Embarrassment or whatever. Well, arent we supposed to confess our faults to one another anyway? I've been chewing on it about this for a couple days and felt I let you guys down in my effort to share with you, so here is my revised testimony about that day last weekend when the Lord bailed my butt out! Ok. :)

I was driving along this country road, and I was talking to the Lord in my truck. Many of you Brothers and Sisters know that I am prone to inviting the Lord to go with me to work, or any time that I leave my house to go out into the world. So the Lord was there, and....Edward did one of what I consider to be one of the stupidest things in my entire life! ...I...will share it with you. I actually lost my ccw. It's a normal thing to carry for defense and I have always managed to not have to use it, praise the Lord! But it is in bad manners to ccw into my bosses Customers houses to work so I don't. So I took it off and put it in a soft winter cap and into the driver door storage slot thing. and went in to work. Locked the truck and set the alarm each time I got in or out of it.

I made two stops before reaching the shop to check if we had a customers gas valve in stock there. I was practically driving right by a friend's house, so stopped in for a hello and a cup of coffee, then stopped again once more before reaching the shop, on the highway, in the dark, at who knows what mile marker, I just had to pee real bad so pulled over. It's when I got to the shop and opened my door to see...an empty door slot! It was gone! I about crapped my pants! I looked real good all over there...it was gone, so it either had to be in my friends driveway or on the side of the highway some where.

But I was at the shop and on the clock so had to search for her part, and so I prayed and talked to the Lord some while doing that, asked Him to help me with finding it! I kept envisioning tragedy tragedy many different ways if it was out on the road and I just kept slipping further and further into a sick irresponsible feeling. I have never done something like this and I have carried a defensive pistols for over 35 years. This was bad.

I think the Lord may have just let me stew upon this thing for a short while to...teach me something or show me something, I dunno yet. I just wanted to hurry and go home. It was late, I felt like crap in my spirit for making such a serious blunder. and then, after I found her gas valve, and a few other parts (it's supposed to be cold tomorrow) I headed to the truck, and my immediate thought was to call my friend and ask him to go look in his driveway...and then, the Lord let me see that He had fixed this thing for me! It was an absolute magical moment! I opened my truck door to get in, and...there it was! I know that thing was gone! There is no doubt. and yet, there it was! (It is the Lord! It is the Lord!!!) Thank you Jesus!!

The Lord knows that it was an innocent blunder that I made, and so...He had my back and instantly it was over and no problem any more! Ohhh, He is a very good God! I was talking to Him, and I believe He helped me because He enjoys the conversation. Closer than a Brother!

It's awesome how God brings back those things we thought we have lost and no longer can find. Usually I will search in the normal places, but to no avail, but when I ask the Holy Spirit to show me where whatever I am looking for is, He brings it to my mind where I put it and is always there. PTL
