I was just wondering since I sort of wanted to get back in the saddle again after all these years only this time I wanted to take English riding lessons (instead of Western) and compete in shows, but my mother told me that it is a very expensive hobby and she thinks that I have to own or lease a horse first and I wanted to know if that was true, or you could use a school horse for it? Does anybody here know the process for it?
I think with most anything you do there are risks involved. Even just stepping out your front door is a risk. I'm not going to lie and tell you that I don't dream of leasing and/or owning my own horse someday. (Because that would be a sin) However currently I'm still trying to convince my mother to let me have a dog and unfortunately I'm afraid that I just don't have that kind of money.
