I'm sure you may not agree with or hard for you to comprehend this:

The God of the fake and institionalized Christianity is the same God of the other great religions (Islam, Buddhism, Bahai, Satanism, Atheism, etc...)

God exist.

Did Nietzche said that "God is dead?" Nietzche died on August 25, 1900

The fact remains:

You simply do not have first hand knowledge of other people's religious experiences and thus have no basis whatsoever for your statement:

The depth of my relationship with Christ is very, very, very different than the depth experience in the other faiths including the fake Christianity.

You also completely failed to answer the question:

abraXas said:
Your religious experience is no more genuine than that of millions and millions of other people of varying faiths. Your assertion that your experience is somehow different, or more genuine, is an attempt to justify to yourself that your beliefs are valid. I am curious as to what leads you to do this. What is in you that leads you to try and convince yourself of your beliefs?

Think about your answer.

Are you afraid to question yourself? Are you afraid of what you might find if you do?

abraXas, sincerely i already answered your questions. You have not just comprehend my answers, there are things that hard for you to understand. I was once like you, and i basically i know you. But you're not like me...yet. But i'll try to simplify my answers next time.

abraXas, some Bible verses for you to ponder on...
--
God said in Isaiah,
"He has blinded their eyes
and deadened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn--and I would heal them."

--
Jeremiah 33:3:
'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'

Yeah, you posted an answer, but not to the question that was asked.

Really...

Yes we understand those are your beliefs. The people you mentioned, however, including the Christians sects whose beliefs may be only slightly different than yours, would disagree. Beliefs being what they are, we have no reason to take your word over theirs.

For the record, atheism is not a religion and has no god(s).

Yes, secularly and technically speaking Atheism is not a religion, but spiritually speaking it is still a religion.

Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. Are you even familiar with the definition of religion? Atheism is the lack of religion. Figure it out.

...and while you do that, you might consider answering the question posted earlier rather than continuing to avoid it.

abraXas, I already have agreed with the definition that you have provided and even your own definition. Atheism is not a religion according to the mainstream books, and i agree with that. But "spiritually" speaking Atheism is still a religion.

Indeed this passage in the bible is true:

God said in Isaiah,
"He has blinded their eyes
and deadened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn--and I would heal them."

Yes we understand that you believe that passage in the bible is true. I, and apparently Abraxas as well, believe differently.

Hey Jeff, I believe the God of the fake and institutionalized Christianity that you refer to is the same God you and I worship and praise everyday. Their view of Him may be obscure or they may not make the same whole hearted commitment to Him, but that does not mean they are different Gods?

"Their" meaning lukewarm or part-time Christians.

Mike:
I cant say if you're correct or not, becuase i'm in a country where witches and vodoo artists wear crucifixes, bows down to a Jesus statue or Mary, kissing them, and even literally get their powers through these statues by worshipping these stones at 3:00 in the morning. They heal sick people and some of them get healed. These witches they say 'they believe in Jesus' they dont know that what they're doing is wrong. I say they are worshipping the wrong Jesus. That wrong Jesus is the same god of Islam, Buddhism, Satanism, Atheism.

We say we believe in Jesus? That's a new one on me. I'm a Witch and I don't believe in Jesus. And why on earth would I want to do my worshipping at 3 in the morning anyway?

Actually, Islam, Buddhism, and Setic Satanism worship three different Gods. Atheism worships no God by definition.

Havoc, I'm from the Philippines, the witches here are different. It's a combination of folk Christianity, Witchcraft, Vodoos whatever. My grandmother died or was a victim of witchcraft murder. There's an island here called Siquijor where a number of witches lived, it's known by few witches from other countries.

Actually, i'm speaking in figure of speech, even only few Christians can understand when i said that there is a "God behind Atheism, and it's the same God of the God of Islam, Buddhism, etc..."

Ahh you mean the common practice of missionairies of the past labelling any non-christian indiginous practice of native peoples as "witchcraft", ok I see.

You may be speaking figuratively, but you are speaking incorrectly from the point of view of those you label.

The part that bothers me is that he/she actually believes that.

It would be good if i you can come and witness what kind of witchcraft that the witches have here. Maybe i can post a link or maybe refer you a book regarding the witchcraft in the Philippines.

I had an aunt who was a spirit medium by a spirit named Sto. Niño, this Sto. Niño is widely accepted by the predominant catholics as the baby Jesus, but they dont know that it's contrary to the bible. It is witchcraft.

The etymology of the word "Witch" is quite well known. It is Saxon in origin and originally referred to practitioners of The Celtic, Saxon, and Norse religions. These were the solitary Village healers and spiritual leaders apart from the organised religious structure such as the Druids.

The words used in the Old testament and incorrectly translated as "Witch" refer to the practice of some Hebrew Mystics of the time who used "magic" to curse and harm others. The Hebrews had no contact with the Celts or Saxons and so it is ridiculous to think that your God would have warned the Hebrews to kill people they would never have met. The new testament greek refers to poisoners, not Witches. Witches historically were healers, not killers, and were well respected and sought after.

The use of the word "Witch" to mean any mystical practice that is not Christian is a result of the Witch PAnic of the late middel ages, from which King James made much profit and derived no small amount of personal pleasure. Christian missionaries continued the practice of labelling anything as Witchcraft even if it had no correspondence with actual Celtic or Saxon Witches.

I can imagine a scene a couple of hundred years ago when the first Christian Missionaries were invading Africa.

"Kimibi, tell those poeple in that village that we have come to enlighten them."

"Yes Bwana, but they won't like it, they already consider themselves enlightened."

"Well they don't have much choice, we'll save their souls if it kills them. What is that man doing there?"

"Bwana, that man is the Village spiritual leader. He is performing the rituals of the faith of these people. It is called. in their language, ixpltl."

" Oh, you mean witchcraft."

"What is 'witchcraft' Bwana?"

"That what they are doing."

"Strange Bwana, I don't think it has anything to do with the ancient rituals and traditions of Northern European peoples, but hey, your the missionary"

Unless your Phillipino Witches are practicing a recreation of Northern European religious Practices then thaey are not practicing Witchcraft. If they are a mix of Indigenous beliefs and Catholicism then likewise they are not practicing Witchcraft.
