I would also like to add to what you have given.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Yes.

Same exact thing as Paul said in
1Thessalonians 4:15-17.

Like many, JLB & for_his_glory both adamantly and erroneously think/contend Paul was writing about our end of era scenario ....
while they choose to ignore the Revelation in which God reveals OUR end of era scenario.

Paul was writing to Christians of his own era about the end time of ancient Israel which occurred toward the end of his era. The 70AD event.

It is ludicrous to think Paul was trying to tell Christians of his era about an end time scenario coming 2000 years later.

Satan wants you to think you are promised to be whisked away before the Beast reigns.
That is not the way it's gonna be.

Jesus's servants are not waiting to be taken off the earth before the Beast reigns.

Jesus's servants are waiting on the Lord to be empowered (as per Isaiah 40:31)
and intend to serve Jesus in this world during the reign of the Beast.

We who will reign with Christ will have been beheaded during the reign of the Beast ... not whisked away before the Beast even takes over. Rev 20:4

For the saved of our era, the day of the beheading is the real day of "rapture."

By ignoring the Revelation, one forfeits great blessing.

Jesus servants are those who have already been empowered according to Acts 2:4.

No need to wait.

Paul instructed the Church in the way of righteousness, no matter what time or “era” they live in.

If you maintain your erroneous interpretation then while the Beast reigns you will remain weak and confused when all who are waiting on the Lord are empowered.

31 but those who wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Paul was a great servant of Jesus, however, he was not writing about our end of era scenario.

The disciples had walked for years with Jesus .. and had some power ....
but they NEEDED the empowerment they got on the day of Pentecost .....
After that empowerment "Many signs and wonders were performed among the people by the hands of the apostles." Acts 5:12

You, whoever you may be, may be a servant/disciple of Jesus, however, you/we NEED the empowerment promised to all who WAIT ON THE LORD as per Isaiah 40:31.

Jesus was as "Godly" as a man can be before He got EMPOWERED the day He went to John the Baptist (Matt 3:16). Only after that empowerment did He begin his miraculous ministry. Do you think that NOW you have a "miraculous ministry" doing such as healing and raising from the dead like Jesus did AFTER He was empowered ?

If you think you don't need the Isaiah 40:31 empowerment .... you're robbing yourself. And if you are not routinely and confidently performing healing and raising from the dead etc, (just as Jesus and the Apostles did) then you have not yet received the empowerment promised to whosoever waits on the Lord.

Why do you think we have to wait until the tribulation to be empowered?

We need His power to live the Christian life today.

To walk according to the Spirit today.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

So you believe that living our life according to the Spirit, in which we walk in righteousness, loving God and loving our neighbor, is not for Christians today?

This is what Paul taught the Church.

You got it backwards.

The power to heal the sick and raise the dead and cast out devils is from the power of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost, not Isaiah 40.

Read Isaiah 40 and show me where it was promised to heal the sick and raise the dead and cast out devils.

Era's come and era's go. There has always been tribulations and trials all have lived through but the last era will be when Christ returns and this present heaven and earth will pass away as all things will be made new again. It is all who have overcome within all the era's of time up to the last era when Christ returns who will inherit all things, Rev 21:1-8.

Beginning with the writings of Moses in the first five books of the Bible and all the writings of the prophets and the Apostles up to the time of John who was given the revelations, the holy city of God being Jerusalem has always been the holy city. During its long history, Jerusalem has been destroyed at least twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. But yet there have always been era overcomers throughout the generations that have endured the test (tribulations) of time and it is those who will inherit all things when Christ returns.

I do not believe in a fairy tale pretrib rapture of the church as those who are still alive and in their graves will be caught up to Christ on the last day when He returns, Matthew 24:29-31; John 5:28, 29; John 6:40; Rev 19:11-21.

If this is what you believe Isaiah was saying in vs 31 then how many have you raised from the dead? How many have you gone to in the hospitals and have healed? Should it not be all by what you believe Isaiah 40:31 says?

This is not what Isaiah was saying. Here is the full context.
Isaiah 40:27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The empowerment of the Holy Spirit is given to us at the same time of our Spiritual rebirth like the day of Pentecost, but is not taught in many church's today so many do not even understand what the Holy Spirit is all about.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Around three thousand souls received the indwelling empowerment of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost as they were all indwelled after Jesus was taken up and the Holy Spirit sent down. They understood what it meant as Peter taught them.

As you should have understood by now,

I am WAITING for my/the Isaiah 40:31 empowerment. I have not received it as of now. AFTER I receive the empowerment, THEN I will go into hospitals and invoke the name of Jesus for immediate healing and rejuvenation of everyone at the hospital.

(just like Jesus healed .... AFTER His Matt 3 revealed empowerment )

I will be used by Jesus to enable MANY others to do the same.

Others (only Jesus knows how many) are also waiting on the Lord and will be empowered ........

Jesus's Church will form around the newly empowered servants of Jesus .... just as the Church formed around the newly empowered (day of Pentecost) disciples-apostles.

The Isaiah 40:31 empowerment and
the day of Pentecost empowerment and
the empowerment given to Jesus as per Matt 3 are all the same.

All "waiting on the Lord" as determined by Jesus will be empowered
exactly like Jesus Himself and the NT apostles were empowered.

An awesome mighty work of Jesus is ongoing, and a major milestone of that work
will be Jesus's empowerment of whosoever is "waiting on Him."

This day of empowerment will be in coordination with

"....when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will lift up a standard ...."
Isaiah 59:19

Isaiah 59:19

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

When we repent and are baptized we then receive the gift of the Holy Spirit that empowers us/indwells us at that moment just as it was on the day of Pentecost when there were added about three thousand people. Many churches do not teach this nor do they understand what or who the Holy Spirit is. This empowerment helps us lead a holy life as we walk in the Spirit of God and our weapons of warfare found in Ephesians 6:10-18 is what helps us to endure. Our faith which is Christ Jesus is what we stand on as we endure all the worldly persecutions, even to death until Christ returns.

How long are you going to wait to heal the sick and raise the dead and cast out demons? If you are Spiritually born again and baptized in the Spirit you already have this empowerment like Peter said as it is not we that do these things, but the Holy Spirit working through us to lay hands on the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons in the name of Jesus.

Yes, no need to wait until the tribulation.

The baptism with the Holy Spirit is available to those who ask... to those who obey; to those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Neither of you have what I (and now doubt many others around the world)
am waiting on.

You evidently have all the power you think a Christian can have.
I don't think you do. I'm sure you don't.

If you had the power I'm waiting on,
then you would now be doing such as Jesus did AFTER He was empowered.
And as the Disciple-Apostles did AFTER they were empowered.

I mean routinely doing miracles of such as healing and rejuvenation.

However, if you are positive you cannot be given more ... well, so be it.

"but those who wait upon the Lord

You are saying Isaiah 40:31 is false. Well, I'm confident it is true.

Can you point out where anyone in this thread has said we have all the power God can give, and we are positive we can not be given more?

If you can’t then you can expect to keep waiting.
