I strongly suspect that Jesus's coming will catch us all with our pants down, metaphoricaly speaking.

I completely disagree.

He plainly left us the signs to watch for and warned us of the consequences of not watching.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
1 Thessalonians 5:4

The Lord has closed my eyes to sin, that I might look upon my sin.

You say that your eyes have been opened, but then go on to post the scripture where Jesus if you say your eyes are opened,then your sin remains. Adam disobeyed and ate the fruit of knowledge, his eyes too were opened.

Those who see walk by sight. Those who have been made blind walk according to faith. Who is blind but my servant? And deaf as my messenger that I sent?

If you would have read the whole chapter instead of quoting just the last verse you would have seen Jesus was telling the Pharisees that they were blind to whom was speaking to them as their sin remains with them as they had no belief in who Jesus was as their Messiah come.

Do you purposely ignore verse 39, or do you just not understand it? Do you know what it means to walk by Faith?

John 9:39
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

John 9:39
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

I understand it very well and even more so when I cross reference it to Matthew 13:13-15; Matthew chapter 23 and John 5:22, 23.

In vs. 40 the Pharisees asked Jesus a question, "Are we blind Also?" They had no understanding of what Jesus said in vs. 39. They, referring to the Pharisee's, which see might be made blind means those who have a carnal knowledge in the laws of God like the Pharisees, yet blind themselves when they do not walk in obedience to them as they are self righteous and walk in their own light. They become blind guides as they know not the light of Christ. They shut their eyes to the Gospel as they harden their hearts unto their own imaginations. These are they that have a form of Godliness, but deny the power thereof, 2 Timothy 3:5-7. It is those who will not endure until the end.

The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man,
he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war:
he shall cry, yea, roar;
he shall prevail against his enemies.
I have long time holden my peace;
I have been still, and refrained myself:
now will I cry like a travailing woman;
I will destroy and devour at once.
I will make waste mountains and hills,
and dry up all their herbs;
and I will make the rivers islands,
and I will dry up the pools.
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not;
I will lead them in paths that they have not known:
I will make darkness light before them,
and crooked things straight.
These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images,
that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

Hear, ye deaf;
and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
Who is blind, but my servant?
or deaf, as my messenger that I sent?
who is blind as he that is perfect,
and blind as the Lord's servant?
Seeing many things, but thou observest not;
opening the ears, but he heareth not.
The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake;
he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Isaiah Chapter 42 is about God's servant, His own elect as being Christ Jesus in whom He sent to the world and is well pleased with Him. Jesus is that light that shines in darkness and opens the eyes of the blind (those who were lost, but now see) as He came to seek and save the lost.

To those who have comfort and the faith of Christ will trust Him and endure during the trails and tribulations here on earth as even now we trust in Him who is our faith. The greatest test of faith (endurance) will be when God pours out His great wrath upon the world in the end of days and that of the beast (son of perdition) that Jesus told us to flee from. This will be our wilderness experience as we trust God to supply our needs as we hide from the beast and his ruling powers thereof until Christ returns and we are then gathered to Him.

Those being of faith and trust in Jesus are those who will be saved as they endured through all trials and tribulations and God's end of days great wrath and have not taken the mark of the beast. They will be gathered with all those who have died before them and be caught up to Christ on the last day, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Rev 19:11-21.

Rev 15 and 16 is about the vial judgements that fall on those who took the mark of the beast as they will also be destroyed along with the great harlot known as mystery Babylon.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. (this takes place on the last day when Christ returns)

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

According to Revelation chapters 15 & 16,
When God pours out God's wrath on the world,
the saved of our era are safely with Jesus in heaven.

I'll never cease to be amazed at how some/many cite non-pertinent scripture
in order to nullify pertinent scripture.

None of the scripture 'for_his_glory' cites nullifies what is revealed in Revelation 15 & 16.

"I saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. 2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. " Revelation 15:1-2

CLEARLY the saved of our era are safe with Jesus in heaven when the wrath of God is poured out as per Revelation 16.

John Prewett

Rev 15:1-4 is about the last seven vial judgements of God that the seven angels are going to pour out on those who take the mark of the beast. Rev 16 describes each vial. Nothing in either chapter about anyone being caught up to Jesus. And not only that, if we are already caught up to Jesus then what would be the whole purpose of the mark of the beast and the seven vial judgements. If we just choose and pick scripture with out studying the full context of cross referencing all scriptures in the OT and NT and history of Biblical times then we lack full understanding.

In Chapter fourteen we read about the third angel preaching the everlasting gospel for the last time and giving a warning to what will happen to those who take the mark of the beast. The gospel will have then been preached to all nations around the world and then will the end come, Matthew 24:14.

Rev 15:1-5 The seven angels are about to pour out the last seven vial judgments of Gods fierce wrath on those who have chosen to follow and make allegiance to the beast and bow down to its false doctrines and gods as they have taken the mark of this beast.

The sea of glass symbolizes the vastness of Gods holiness and purity that is a place in our heart of peace and restful assurance. It is a place of safety as we endure our time here on earth trusting God in all things until the coming of the Lord as we have been warned to flee from the abomination that causes desolation which is the Luciferians New World Order, Matthew 24:13-22. Those who are still alive and in Christ are kept in the safety of Gods protection, Psalms 91, from the last seven plagues harming them as they are sealed by the Holy Spirit, 2 Corinthians 1:22, unto the day of redemption when at that time Jesus will return in the clouds for His Bride that has made herself ready.

Please show me in scripture (Book, Chapter and verse) where it says anything about a pretrib rapture where the saints of God are with Jesus before the first trumpet sounds of God's great wrath. From the sounding of the first trumpet to the sixth trumpet is all in God's timing for no one knows how long it will last. With the seventh trumpet that involves everything from Rev11:15 through Rev 19:11-21 when Christ returns is a span of 1,260 days - 3 1/2 Lunar Calendar years, Daniel 7:25; 9:24; 12:7; Rev 12:14.

the saved of our era are safely with Jesus in heaven

They are safely with the Lord in the air above the earth.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

  • And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

Both the dead in Christ, (the resurrected ones), and those who are alive and remain, (the raptured ones), are caught up together and are with the Lord high above the earth, when the Lord pours out His wrath upon the wicked, including the antichrist.

At least JLB agrees the saved will not be on earth when God's angels pour out God's wrath as per Revelation 16. However, sadly, JLB still declines to understand that Paul was NOT writing about our end of era scenario.

The saved of our era will not get to heaven as Paul describes. Rather the saved of our era will get to heaven the moment we are beheaded. Which is what having " victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, " is all about.

As Jesus had victory over Satan by going to the cross.
The saved of our era will have victory over the Beast by going to the guillotine
(or chopping block).

Revelation 20:4 reveals/confirms we who will "reign with Christ" will have been beheaded
Sad so many seem uninterested in reigning with Christ.
I'll hate to hear a response of the tired old "Rapture next/Left behind" false prophecy.

Paul was writing to the Church, about the Church at the coming of the Lord.

The dead in Christ, means all those who are Christ’s, that have died.

Those who are alive and remain, means those who are Christ’s that are alive at His coming.

No one is left behind.

No one is left out.

All are gathered together unto Him, in the clouds in the air.

All Christians.

There is no one else Paul is writing to.

You keep speaking about our end of era. Every generation era from the time of Christ resurrection has been waiting for His return. We are told to watch for His return as no one knows the day or the hour, but to be prepared as His Bride. Jesus could very well return in our life time, but yet we wait whether in the grave or here alive on earth Matthew 24:29-38.

Now you speak about those who will be beheaded, as even now many are dying a martyr's death in many countries for the sake of Christ and even more so when they refuse to denounce Christ when they are forced to take the mark of the beast or be killed, Rev 13. It is not until the seventh trumpet sounds, Rev 12:15-19, that the beast out of the sea will give power to the beast out of the earth who is the son of perdition who claims to be God and promises peace and safety after God's six trumpets of His fierce wrath being poured out into the world as the world will be thrown into total chaos, Rev 8-9; Thessalonians 2:1-12.

Even though the son of perdition is already working in the world, but has not yet been revealed, He will be revealed after the first six trumpets of Gods great wrath. With many lying signs and wonders he will deceive the nations claiming he is God as many will take his mark which will seal their fate as the last seven vials of God's wrath will be poured out on them, Rev 15 and 16.

Then will Christ return, Rev 19:11-21, as the great mother of harlots that is described and then destroyed by the brightness of Christ's coming as we are then gathered to Him in the air, not heaven, as He makes and end to all abominations here on earth, Rev Chapters 17-19; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

BTW, you never answered my question where scripture says anything about a pretrib rapture.

We have been through this before as what you present here is man's bandwagon theories as in what one speculates. It does not line up with scripture, but they sure do line their pockets with all the money they receive for their deceptive teachings that lead others astray from truth found in the scriptures.

Why do you refuse to answer my question?

The saved of our era will be beheaded during the reign of the Beast.
When a saved person is beheaded, they become fully united with Jesus
and with all the saved. That is their day of "rapture."

Unlike such as Tim Lahaye and numerous "big name" movie-TV-radio false prophets,
I've never made any serious money for what I distribute.

Around 1990 a friend bought me a printer.
Around 1900 an acquaintance gave me $50.
Around 1974 a young woman gave me a quarter as I was distributing leaflets in a park.

Hey y'all,

Let's actually talk with each other as we discuss and explore our differences in how we interpret prophecy of coming events.
We may not agree but each is earnest and genuine in what they believe...to paint each other as being unstudied or frivolous is not in keeping with the rules of this site.
