Over the last few weeks I've been trying to come up with some new ideas for content for the site and just generally try to improve it. Yesterday was the next stage in doing this as I upgraded the account I was using which has given the site some enhancements which have made me very excited. I thought I'd share what's been happening with the site and some of the ideas that are in the pipeline.
So firstly I have a proper domain name now for the site;
www.evidence2hope.com. I'm so happy about this, it just looks better to me. The previous URL's all re-direct to this one so all links that are currently out there will still work. Also, NO MORE ADS!!!!! There used to be adverts at the top and bottom of the pages; not there anymore! Because there is a new domain, there are dedicated email addresses now which is great for some of the future projects I have in mind. The main new ones are;
feedback@evidence2hope.com - address for any feedback regarding the site, suggestions for improvements etc.
recommendations@evidence2hope.com - address for any recommendations for videos, websites, articles etc that people have found useful.
questions@evidence2hope.com - address for people to submit any questions that they would like answering/pointing in the right direction or issues they would like help with.
Got new Facebook and Twitter pages and now my blogs automatically get posted to them via Networked Blogs (little shout out to them) Also set up accounts at Vimeo and YouTube as (and you've probably already guessed) I'm looking to do my own videos. They're going to be mostly just me talking about the issues that are affecting Christians and questions that have come in. They're not replacing the written blogs but I think videos maybe better suited to some of the topics.
Going forward I'm looking to try and get some guest posts on some of the questions that are coming in. If someone specializes in a specific area or just have some views they'd like to share, I'm looking at possibly getting those on the website. Same with the videos. I have a project in mind regarding questions, that I'm borrowing from another church and I'm currently looking for a church to run that in-conjunction with. Further forward I'm looking at running Q & A's with churches and organizations but this is more a long term plan.
Want to say a huge thank you to everyone who's supported me in this, especially my fiance for encouraging me to focus on and build up this website. Like a lot of things it takes time, effort and some money and I feel I've achieved a goal by just getting the website going. I really do feel God has called me to answer the questions people have and this is one step in that.
