Side note: It is reported that an 800 year old prophecy from the Torah predicts a major end times war between Saudi Arabia and Iran (Persia) before the plague (Covid) ends. With Edom (the West) giving council to Saudi Arabia. Though the prophecy fits it ,of course, remains to be seen if it refers to this point in time.

Have you read "Secrets of Jerusalem's Temple Mount" by Leen and Kathleen Ritmeyer? It combines both archaeological finds and architectural designs of the location of the Temple.

Israel, in my opinion, made a bad mistake in not destroying the Dome of the Rock when they could have in 1967. They equally made a bad mistake in giving Muslims control.

But Israel owns it.

I have no doubt the Muslims will never 'allow' a Temple to be built on the site. But, they won't have any say in the matter when the time comes. The third Temple will be built.

If the Jews knew all along that the Dome of the Rock was in the wrong spot all this time, then there was never any need to destroy it as the 3rd Temple will fit right along side it in its proper spot. That is, if indeed, the Dome of the Spirits is the and has been the correct location all along.

The book I recommended by Ritmeyer holds that the Dome is on the spot of the Holy of Holies. You should obtain it. You will enjoy it.

Either way the Muslims arn't going to willingly let any Temple be built on the Temple Mount. Something must occur to destroy that Dome to remove their purpose there.

I understand the case for the Holy of Holies being at the Dome of the Rock is very strong and I have held that view for years. The City of David argument is rather weak as it was the Tabernacle not the Holy of Holies location. I also realize my emotions are a significant factor in my interest in this relatively new (to me) revelation that the Dome of the Spirits may actually be the spot. I am impatient for our Lord.

Like I have said, let them build it as it will have no dwelling of God's Shekinah glory within it as God will have nothing to do with it. We have to remember that many of the Jews are still waiting for Messiah to come.

I had seen a video about the Dome of the Spirits, but forgot the title of the video. I stumbled across it again last night on YouTube and had enough snap that time to write down the info. Here it is so enjoy......The Temple Revealed by Christian Widener PHD. He goes into even more detail in his book by the same title.

Do you have the article as I would like to read that?

Why did Jesus call Herod's temple His house?

Of course the Shekinah glory will not fill it. That won't happen till the Millennial Temple is built. But, the Shekinah left before Herod's Temple was built and did not fill it. So again, why did Jesus call Herods temple His house? (Matt. 21:12-13).

Whether you or I approve of the building is immaterial. It will be built.

Jesus called the second Temple, My house, the house of prayer, despite the fact Herod wanted Jesus dead even when He was born.

IMO, as there are various teachings about the 1000 years, I do not see the thousand years being literal after Satan is bound even though a thousand is written, which I believe is symbolic or figurative number like that of Deuteronomy 7:9; 1Chronicles 16:15; Psalms 50:10; 90:4; 105:8 Ecc 6:6; 7:28; Daniel 5:1; 2Peter 3:8. What else is to take place within a literal thousand years that will need to be fulfilled as the only thing left is for Satan to be loosed for a time as he gathers all nations for the final battle against the saints, but his army will be consumed by fire that God sends down from heaven and then Satan cast into the lake of fire. Why would God wait a thousand years for His final judgment? What else could possibly take place during a thousand years before God ushers down the New Jerusalem?

That was my point. Jesus still called the Temple His house even though it was Herods temple. Even though the Shekinah glory never entered it.

So if a Temple is built on that location, I see no reason that God would not consider it His Temple.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Act 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Act 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Act 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Yes, at the present time the Church is the Temple on earth. God dwelling in us.

This is why, I believe, it is important for the Church to be raptured out of the earth before the Tribulation and the rebuilding of the Temple.

Of course God is not limited by place to any building. But yet it is He who gave to Moses the drawings of the Tabernacle and told him to build it just like the drawings said. (Ex. 25:8-9) (Ex. 25:40) (Ex. 29:43) (Ex. 39:43) And it is He who gave to David the drawings of the Temple and David would tell Solomon to build it just like the drawings said. (1 Chron. 28:3-6) (1 Chron. 28:11-12) (1 Chron. 28:19)

And, it is God who chose the very place for the Temple to be built, the threshing floor of Ornan. (1 Chron. 21:16-30) (2 Chron. 3:1-2) And this was, I believe, the very spot where Abraham offered up Isaac. (Gen. 22:2,14)

So, yes, God is God and the universe cannot contain Him. But when He sets His attention on a place, on a building, then we would do well to recognize it's importance.
