This is why Jesus taught us how to discern and know the enemy that infiltrates the churches today as they do come in as wolves in sheep clothing and prey on those who have no understanding. We see this often in TV Evangelist as one that I know, but will not name him uses hypnosis unaware of the audience.
It's like the teachings of the Nicolaitans that Jesus warned the church of Ephesus in Rev 2:1-7 and the church of Pergamos where Satan's seat is at in the church, Rev 2:12-17. Let us not forget the spirit of Jezebel in Rev 2:18-29.
Throughout many scriptures in the OT and NT we are warned about the darkness that stems from the principality of this world s a ruling evil power that can deceive the very elect of God if possible.
