Romans 4:25 . . He was delivered over to death for our sins, and was raised to life for our justification.

The first half of that verse testifies that Christ's crucifixion completed the atonement as per Isaiah 53:6 and 1 John 2:2.

However, atonements are limited. They don't have what it takes to protect people from facing justice at the great white throne event depicted at Revelation 20:11-15. For that, people need their personnel files wiped.

The second half of Romans 4:25 testifies that Christ's resurrection gains people what his cross could not obtain for them.

The Greek word for "justification" is dikaiosis (dik-ah'-yo-sis) which means acquittal; defined as an adjudication of innocence.

People merely forgiven still carry a load of guilt; viz: they have a record. Christ's resurrection deletes their record so that on the books, it's as though they've never been anything but 100% innocent.

1 Corinthians 15:17 . . Further, if Christ has not been raised up, your faith is useless; you are yet in your sins.

Had Christ's crucified dead body not been restored to life, everyone would remain on track for the sum of all fears even though he fully atoned for their sins on the cross.

Thisa is also not just myth or fairy tales. It is rooted in history, that Jesus lived, died, was burried and here is the spin, historians who happily confirm the three previous facts, will now say that the disciples believed they had met with the risen Jesus.

Wecan have confidence that our sins are forgiven because of Jesus.

thanks, both of you. seriously. reinforces material id been taught elsewhere but hadn't really absorbed...

and its True/Truth, too, so...that's the -big- thing, isn't it?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Christ sufferings, anguish and death on the cross is the atonement for our sin by that of God's grace given to all who will believe in Him. The moment we repent of our sin we are forgiven and will have life eternal with the Father. Jesus now sits at the right hand of God making intercession for us before the Father as our names are written in the Lamb's book of life before the foundation of the world.

God remembers our past no more and now there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans Chapter 8.

The Blood Atonement has no consideration for what you have SINNED, it only has consideration for what Jesus has accomplished...."It is FINISHED".

So, the deeds of Judas, Hitler, Charles Manson, Stalin ......... its all just sin.............and the Blood of Jesus is the eternal Cure for it all. "where sin abounds, GRACE more abounds".

"oh the Blood of JESUS< its makes US white as snow". = Forever.

Thank you Jesus. !
