I did take a picture of myself taking a picture. In a mirror. And I'm actually having a pretty good day.
Gosh...
Thanks Kevin...
But I meant for your AVATAR!!

Anyway, it's nice to know how you look.
You've been posting here for as long as I've been here.
Over 3 years now.

BTW,,,Before selfies...we used the mirror to take pictures of ourselves...just like you did.

Which proves once again that:
There's Nothing New Under the Sun !

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. If I ever take a half decent pic of myself, I'll replace the avatar.

I found him!! He's sort of in the center. It's sort of like the Asian version (since I forgot whether or not he is Chinese or Japanese and I don't know your nationality) of Where's Waldo. :lol

Nice swords!
Would you mind sharing some history on them?
Sure! The lower one is an iaito. A training sword mostly used to practice fast-draw techniques. This one is steel, whereas most are aluminum, so has the heft and balance of a real sword.

The upper one is a real katana, also known as a shinken. It is of modern manufacture, and made in a Chinese forge, but to the same specifications as the original Japanese process. It is layer-forged and clay-tempered, and very sharp.

I run through the 12 basic sword forms every morning.
