Great news!
We were able to update our forum software to it's newest version.
This was a major upgrade of Xenforo and Xenfocus (Theme) as well as XPress which acts as our bridge between our forum and our home page.

I am only aware of two bugs and I have reported them to the appropriate vendor for remediation. One is in our Admin Control panel which won't effect the site and the other is that funky looking link at the top right of the page that says, thxlink_navtab_thxpress

Please report any bugs you may discover in this thread and I'll look into them.

Sorry for the late reply but there is currently a LOT going on right now for me and I'm trying to do a bunch of scheduling and planning for this month. :whirlAnywho, thank you and will do! :thumbsup I wondered about that link at the top of the screen as well, what exactly is it? :confused2
 
Push notifications accepted...
Things look great on this phone.

I can't remember what brand it is but it's running Android...
Samsung Tablet has no differences except for this pricetag thingy in the upper left corner of the header...

If you use your phone or tablet, you get notified in the top half of your screen with the rest of your notifications. If your on a computer, you'll get notifications on the bottom right (by your clock) even if you're not logged in. It replaces email notification.

Check out your user preferences as they have changed.

BTW, check your spam for emails from cf.net. When I swapped to https, lots of our email notifications went to spam.
 
I always use my mobile and have always had notifications on the top of screen and email notification for pm.
Yes they were going to spam but I realised what was happening and sorted it.
Is there some reason why you don't want us to receive email notifications? Does it help the forum in some way if we don't?

I personally don't like email notification, but I did not stop them across the board. I think what happened is this.
When I switched the site to use SSL (https) most email clients saw email notification as spam and sent them to your junk mail.

I know the new forum software has new notification settings. Please check those settings in your preferences. Also, check your spam or junk mail to see if they are going there.

Sending email notifications doesn't hurt our system at all.

Anyway, let me know if your still not getting them. However, if your on an Android device, try push alerts. Personally, I like them!
 
Yes I am still getting emails. They were going into spam, but when I marked them as 'not spam that problem stopped. I am on Android so will try it.
Have just been checking preferences. I've got tucks all over the place :lol will sort it out tomorrow, it's getting a bit late here to do it. Thanks for the replies, and all your hard work.
 
I have still been getting email notifications, but I got that vertical problem again last night when I was on this forum as a guest before bed. :neutral
 
Oh btw, I also got another bug a few minutes ago that was an add on top of the screen that said how to fix error 404 or something.
 
Hey StoveBolts, before I sign off for the night and forget, why is it that I'm still not always getting alerts when somebody either responds to a topic that I started, or a topic that I'm a part of?
 
The vertical problem has happened to me once last night and four or five times already for me this morning. All except for once (being just viewing the lounge index) the problems for me all occurred in the abortion thread.
