The school was preserved because a family moved into it and lived there for years. Then an historian discovered it, and the City of Grapevine acquired it, and moved it to the museum area downtown. And they did an outstanding job of restoring it to a 1920s school house.

Having restored many an old home, I highly appreciate the work that went into both of these buildings to bring them back to historical appearance. The floors are amazing!
