Ok so a respected Pastor that I listen to frequently said something recently while preaching and left me scratching my head. I usually believe what he says, but I either know it already, or he has scripture...or else God pings my spirit to let me know this is true...but I did not get pinged this time and I wonder if anyone has ever heard anything like this?

Long story short, he said all people who get saved will not necessarily be living inside the walls of...(the new Jerusalem?). That some will be outside, those who had blemishes and were not spotless. They will be content and happy to be saved, and may have a chance to grow and become unblemished and later on, enter and be allowed inside...

That was all new to me. I've never heard anything like it before. Has anyone ever heard anything similar to this?

No never heard that one brother. I've heard gentiles will be outside.
I don't mind where I'll be as long as I'm there.
I've never heard about the blemishes either. All of us are blemishes but Christ gives the white robe of righteousness to all who are saved.

Pastors can be scripturly sound but when it comes to prophecy they go into fairyland. I guess that's why many stay away from it. Good thinking they don't want to be false. If people don't know prophecy they should stay away from teaching it. If it's not in scripture or not clarifies then it's usually there own mind going wild unless they a prophet.

Sounds like some sort of purgatory to me. Completely unbiblical. There is nowhere in scripture (unless I am completely mistaken) that supports this. I am curious as to what he referenced to come to this conclusion.

This is sort of what I was thinking. No one is right all of the time. It doesn't mean they are a false prophet or anything necessarily, just that they were wrong about something. It struck me as odd because I had never heard anything even close to that from anyone before.

Gentiles outside? Pretty sure he was talking about after the day of the Lord and judgment. So those who were not saved went to the lake of fire, and everyone else is saved...but not all make it inside...like that.

What? No wedding garment? Throw him out...

We hear all sorts of things. Not that gentiles will not be in The New Jerusalem, but will be in the courtyard.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

If one is blemished and spotted than one has never been made righteous by God's righteousness and are none of His own.

1 Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

The people of God who are raised in the new age will not have full fellowship?
God will place his tabernacle on the earth, and will dwell with man..
