Hello,

I have not visited this forum for almost a year now, and I see that some important changes have taken place. First, I'd like to mention that the forum software seems to be new, at least I don't remember that you had XenForo before, and better integrated with the main site. But what is more important, I really like your article A New Vision for a Better Community of Believers. I don't remember noticing anything that was not in good tone before. In fact, I found this forum a lot more respectful than some of the others I also am a part of. But I do appreciate to read such a refreshing text. It goes hand in hand with my own Christian Blogger's Code of Conduct. God bless you all!

Well, DG,
What happened to you?
Where'd you go?
Yes. This is a very NICE site.
We get tired of all the meanness out there....
It's a refreshing time off to be with like-minded persons.

Thank you for asking.

I was busy trying to widen my web presence to include non Christian audiences. A more or less exhaustive list of my online involvement can be consulted under Christian Forums and Social Networks I am involved in. Among those you will find Quora for example, where aspects of the Gospel can be shared with a broader audience than people who are Christians.

This is only part of the reason why I have not been very present here. The other part is that I have been more and more busy with responsibilities in my local church, such as small group leadership, and board membership.

That said, I am very happy to hear that what I wrote in the leading post of the current thread has been a blessing to this community. One verse that the Lord placed on my heart of late is 1 Peter 4:10-11: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

God bless you all!

Hi DG,
I just checked out your web page and it's really nice!
Also lots of information there in case anyone wants to check it out...articles, etc. We have another member here that has a PhD and also has a web site like yours.

I'm sorry you didn't have anything for the Italian language. I live here in Italy and my mother tongue is English, but I have some catholic friends that would love a Christian site.

The CC here is trying, but there's not too much teaching going on. I'm protestant, BTW, but used to be catholic many years ago and this is the only church available to me right now. I don't agree with all its doctrine however.

It was nice of you to respond....you'd make a great addition to our site and I'd invite you to post on the theology forums, but I do understand that you must be busy.

If you have the time...come join us every now and then.
You'll find we're a nice bunch here and tend to listen when being spoken to....

Blessings.

Welcome back. Maybe my memory fails me, but I think this community has ran on XenForo since before I joined it, back in 2017. It might have been an older version of XenForo. Or was it InvisionPower?

We've been on Xenforo for a few years, but we did replace the theme a year ago and Xenforo has has some major updates within the last 3 months.
