Hello everyone :)

Some of you may have noticed i have been around a lot less over the last few months... i was on self - imposed maternity leave as my back was struggling with our computer chair and also carrying my second baby in belly while lugging around my first born as well...

Well.....

I'm back :)

our second daughter ~ Kaitlyn Hope Margaret ~ was born on the 19th of January at 1:55am, 41 weeks 3 days gestation, 9 pounds 4 ounces - a whole pound lighter than her 42 week 10.4 pound sister before her!! We had a wonderfully uncomplicated birth and fast recovery - we were home that same day with our 8 hour old babe!!!

So now that i have a 16 month old who has adjusted brilliantly to life as a big sister (and conveniently down for a nap), a one month old who sleeps through the night now - 11-12 hours!! God Bless her! - (and is feeding in my arms) and a body no longer pregnant (for now) i find myself with a moment to return to you and say hi and i should be round a lot more for now :)

Pics to come when i get a bit more time... so my friends; fill me in :) what have i missed while away from the screen :)

Congratulations and welcome back!!

You have some big babies!!! :biggrin

It's nice to see you back. The highlight of your time away was "God and Hell". It was the most interesting thread I've ever seen on here, but someone went and locked it after a while :verysad

Welcome back Amy.......glad to see all is well girly girl!!! Congrats on your new bundle of Joy. Those are healthy babies....I'm surprise they didn't have teeth when they were born. :biggrin All I can say is that God has bless you to be a wonderful birthing mother.

Some women are just bless to give birth, I for one was not one of those people....4 days and 5 nights in hard labor, 4 hours in the delivery room.....having a hurricane hit at Cocoa Beach/Merrit Island hospital while I was delivering didn't help. I puked every single day, sometimes up to 5-6 times a day....right up to the delivery table I was still puking to the point the had to just gas me out. And to this day!!!! I will fight it tooth and nail not to puke.

My husband makes fun of me when I'm sick and throwing up. I didn't realize it until he pointed it out, that I will lay in the bed kicking my feet, and crying I don't want to puke [like some baby]....while my husband is holding the pot, and telling me just let it go honey. Then by the time I can't hold it back anymore and it has to come out, then I pass out and go into seizures afterwards.....that's how detastable it is to me from being pregnant with my son Happi.

I was not a pleasant person while pregnant.....as long as I could function without smells....I was OK. But it really limited me on walks with car exhaust, or someone cooking, burning leaves, mowed lawns, you name it, if it had a smell, I was in the ditch on my knees letting it fly again. I would eat, and as soon as I had the last bite [without fail] there I went to the ladies room and letting it fly again. I was just hopeless in being able to keep anything down. There was only two things that wouldn't come back up, a Three Musketeer Bar, and a chocolate brownie. Did I have to wonder why my child was hyper active? Huh no. :lol

May the Lord continue to bless you Amy.....

Carol - Reading your post those could be my very own words... what you have described is almost identical to my experience with my first born -Hailey.... so it was an enormous blessing, surprise and gift to be blessed with such a healthy and normal pregnancy and birth this time round :)

pictures to come as promised... just as soon as i remember how to use this stupid photobucket thingy??? and how to put them in :tongue two babies down asleep so i'm working on it as we speak :) (or is it type?)
