I'm a newbie here too. I too love to upolster furniture. Although I haven't done it in a long time. I'm now into sewing in general.

Thanks Relic about the date of joining, I didn't even notice that. :-? That shows where my head is at. :

My sister and I owned our own upholstery shop for several years and then me and my daughter-in-law had the business until she got sick and then the business dissolved at that point. It was a fun business though up to that point.
