Hi my name is Nessa and im 21 years old living in toronto

for lack of a better word im a "muslim" however i have been struggling alot lately about my religion and im just trying to find somewhere i fit in

my family is very religious, and its hard talking to them about my questions and concerns cuz its a sign of disbelieve to question ur religion, i dont wanna go to hell but if i dont believe thats where im headed right??

theres alot of things i have a problem with in the muslim faith, but other things i do like about it and yet there are things within the christian faith i do like and others i cant seem to understand

i dont know, i just feel lost and dont know what to do

I see you are in the moment of time where you have lack of faith

Could it be possible you post the reasons to what you are struggling with with your faith.

Your family is religious, this means your religious along with them, or try to follow what they do right?

I can say 100% it is not disbelieve when asking a questions in Islaam,if so could you provide Evidence from the Islamic sources that it is classed as "disbelieve" to ask Questions, but rather it is a good thing, its considered a good thing for you to ask Questions in Islaam to learn about your faith rather than just following stuff that may not even apply to being a Muslim what i mean by that is that is not following the real teachings of Islaam and not following blindly.

Hi michae1, im not here to convert really, im here to learn more about the christian faith, and to get rid of misconceptions i have of it

i do believe in god, just trying to find what exactly that means lol

btw, my understanding of christianity is limited, i just know the basics, but what im struggling with understanding is the whole trinity..thats been a tad bit confusing for me really
in islam where told there is only 1 god, he is the most high period, whereas in christianity jesus is son of god right?? but then ive also been told jesus is god?

i hope u dont mind me asking these questions
 
Hi, Nessa, and welcome. It's good for you to ask questions. The God of the Bible reveals Himself to the humble :)

The trinity is an easy concept to understand when you seek God's answer. He can best explain it to you, man cannot convince you otherwise.

Are you aware that water is 3 in 1? Water can be a gas, a liquid, and a solid. In each state it is still water.

Hi Nessa,

Welcome to the forums. I am new here to and I have been brought up in a Muslim/Christian household because my Mother is Catholic and my father is Muslim.

Both religions have things that are hard to understand and things that have been misinterpreted. I'm joining these forums so I can get a firmer grasp on Christianity as I would like to know both religions inside and out before I make a decision on what I believe in.

Hi Nessa! You've come to a good place. I jut want to add a few words, too.

Christianity is not a "religion" to those who believe. It is a relationship (a friendship, really) with Jesus, who saves us.

This is a great place to ask questions! Feel free to ask away!

hmm, i understand the whole water concept, thats pretty interesting tho never thought about it this way

so your saying although with the trinity they are all just 1 thing which is god?? except its viewed in different ways like how water is water except you can see it as gas, a liquid and a solid

am i making any sense? lol sorry i have a hard time trying to explain what i mean

and thank you to the warm welcomes, i know i havent been on in a while but i have mid terms so ive been studying alot
