I am doing a thread in the A&T forum called What do we believe about the resurrection?
http://christianforums.net/Fellowsh...t-do-we-believe-about-the-resurrection.58279/

I am posting this in here first and foremost so it does not come to pollute intent of that thread, and secondly because in your studies on preterism, it seems that a quite many of you have done some pretty extensive research and are quite knowledgeable about early church history, and being a so called preterist, understanding the fulfillment of many prophecies, I can trust that the foundation is secure. I have come so see the idea of preterism as the study of the foundation of the Kingdom of Christ.

But I am not here to discuss preterism, sorry other camp. But in my thread on the Resurrection, I a have posted the following scripture, though I have not commented on it. I hope that with your knowledge of church history and your views on prophecy, that you might help to ferret something out. I may be nothing. I don't know, but I have never studied any early church history or modern church history for that matter.

Rev 20:4-6
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

I have seen something here, and yet I have nothing to support it.

Judgement given: they rule and reign a thousand years, rest of the dead lived not again till after the thousand years. (1000 years).
This is first resurrection.
Blessed is he who has part in the first resurrection, no second death, and they shall rule with him a thousand years. (1000 years).
1000 years plus 1000 years equals 2000 years.

Does this have something to do wit:

Hosea 6:1-3
Come, and let us return unto the Lord:
for he hath torn, and he will heal us;
he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
After two days will he revive us:
in the third day he will raise us up,
and we shall live in his sight
.
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord:
his going forth is prepared as the morning;
and he shall come unto us as the rain,
as the latter and former rain unto the earth

There are a couple of things I would like to know more about. First and foremost I was wondering if someone could put together or present a modern timeline of church history, such as major turning points or events. Such as,
How long did the early church exist as it was known then?
When did the church of Rome and the papacy begin?
When did Islam rise up under Mohamed and seize Jerusalem.
When to were the dark ages?
When did the crusades begin and the recapture of Jerusalem?
When did the reformation begin?
Manifest destiny?
Throughout history, when were the major occurrences of people predicting the end of the world?

The second thing I am interested in hearing, of all of the timelines that have been presented concerning Daniels 70 weeks, the would like to hear more about what you believe are the "times of desolation are determined" to be?

Thank you in advance

Oh, by the way. A thought crossed my mind the other day and I had a good chuckle.

There is always hope for a futurist, for if he continues to deny enough prophecy, he may find himself back in the garden of eden in the presence of God, with nothing left to deny, except the Lord himself.
