I believe the hour of temptation spoken of in Rev 3:10 is that we who are in Christ hold fast His word as we stand in the holy place, which is our faith that is Christ Jesus. It will be a time of great patience and endurance for those who are of Christ during the time of Gods great wrath being poured out into the world and more so when we see the abomination of desolation Daniel spoke of and Jesus told us to flee from, Matthew 24:15.

The hour of temptation that comes upon the whole world in every nation is that of the beast out of the sea who gives power to the beast out of the earth. The beast out of the earth is the son of perdition being the final false prophet (antichrist), 1John 2:18, that will show lying signs and wonders as he promises peace and safety claiming he is God. Those who received not the love of truth that they might be saved God will send them strong delusion that they will believe the lies of this false prophet sealing their fate forever when they take it's mark as they bow down and worship this beast. John 17:1-12; 2Thessalonians 2:3-12, Rev 13

Matthew 24:29-31 and Matthew 25:31-46 are very simular passages as we see that immediately after the tribulation of those days, meaning after Gods mighty wrath is poured out into the world during the seven trumpet judgments, Rev 8-11, the sun will be darkened, the moon no longer gives its light, the stars fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shakened then will appear the sign of the Son of God as the sign is the visible Glory of God in Christ as He comes in the clouds and every eye will see Him, Rev 1:7.

John 6:40 says Jesus will raise all up on the last day as there is only one resurrection according to John 5:28,29 that says all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth. They that are Gods children, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have rejected God, unto the resurrection of damnation. Those who are in their graves are two types of people that will rise up, but only one resurrection that happens all at once. Many try to use Daniel 12:1,2 to say there are two separate resurrections at different times, but that is not what Daniel says.

The powers of the heavens that will be shaken is that of the war between Michael who fights against Satan who is the prince of the power of the air, Ephesians 2:2, as Satan is cast out of the third heaven where God sits on His throne and cast down through the heavens to the earth, Rev 12:7-12. From Rev 12:13 through chapter 13 we read how Satan begins his war on earth as he persecutes the remnant of the body of Christ who are still alive at this time, but they have been instructed by Jesus to stand in the holy place, which is our faith that is Christ Jesus, when they see the abomination of desolation Daniel spoke of in Daniel 7.

Rev 13 is the abomination of desolation when Satan gives power to the beast out of the sea who gives power to the beast out of the earth who is the son of perdition, false prophet (last antichrist) who promises peace and safety during this time of great tribulation that has never been seen before nor ever will be again, Matthew 24:21. This false prophet will cause a great falling away as God sends strong delusion on those who received not the love of truth that they should believe the lies coming out of the mouth of the son of perdition (last false prophet) who through lying signs and wonders will promise peace and safety to all who will take his mark and bow down and worship him, 2Thessalonians 2:3-12.

I believe all things from Rev 13-20 will come quickly as Jesus said He would come quickly with His rewards, Rev 22:7-12. This is how I understand it to be as I will nut shell it. Right after the vial judgments are poured out on those who refused to repent, Rev 16, then in Rev 17 and 18 mystery Babylon is described and then destroyed. Rev 19 says the marriage of the Lamb has come, but does not say we are gathered to Jesus yet as only the time has been made ready. The army that returns with Jesus are the army of angels in heaven that come with Him and not the saints, (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 4:19; 33:2; 1 Chronicles 18:18; Nehemiah 9:6; Jeremich 33:22), as He comes first to destroy the beast and false prophet casting them into the lake of fire and then the remnant being those used by Satan to rule over the nations as now the enemy have become the footstool of God, Psalms 110:1; Luke 20:43.

Rev 20 Jesus then establishes His kingdom here on earth as He binds Satan for a time as He then calls all who are in their graves, John 5:28,29, as He separates the sheep from the goats as the sheep are now all made alive caught up together with those sheep who are still alive at His coming and given new glorified bodies and are now with the Lord forever, 1Corinthians 15:51-58; 1Thessalonians 4:13-18. The goats are still at His left hand when Satan is loosed for a time as he sends his army of angels to surround the camp of the saints, but they are devoured by fire that God sends down from heaven and Satan is then cast into the lake of fire. Those who have rejected Christ, being the goats that are told to stand at the left hand of Christ, Matthew 25:31-34, 44-46 will then at that moment stand in Gods great white throne judgement and will also be cast into the lake of fire as their names are not written in the book of life.

Many Christians today face real perscution, this is about what may happen to us.

Jesus only promises to be with us in todays struggles. We cannot anticipate tomorrows problems.
Rather than worry about tomorrow learn about what Christians are suffering today and SUPPORT them in prayer, letter writing and giving.

Who Me

It's not what may happen, but that of what is already happening in every nation including America. In Matthew 24 Jesus told the Disciples of all these things that will come agaist us, but also said, "see that ye be not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.", Matthew 24:6.

We are not to worry about tomorrow as tomorrow is never promised to us, but yet we are not to fear that which must come first before Christ returns on the last day. Jesus also said, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear him (God) which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.", Matthew 10:28.

It's only those Christians that endure in faith until the end that will be saved from being cast into the lake of fire as their names are found written in the Lamb's book of life as they did not fall in the hour of temptation.

the hour of temptation is everyday

True that. One thing that I wonder if many people realize is that, obedience to God is spiritual warfare and may be as important as prayer is. The example that Jesus gave in scripture how to resist temptation was to quote the word of God to the tempter.

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

That's right, Sister. It is all through scripture, resist the devil and he will flee. It is a fantastic idea to quote scripture at the devil. It is a choice we make on how to deal with sin and temptation. And to quote scripture in resistance does many things. It is not by our power or strength that we resist temptation and sin, it is Christ within us. We merely quote the Word of God which is a prayer for help actually, but by our doing so, we stand on the Word of God and expect Him to come to our aid. And He absolutely does, He said, I will never leave you or forsake you and in my experience, He will not and has not.

and at the same time, we are obeying the Lord. Obeying the Lord is spiritual warfare. It is in that moment that we invoke the blood of Jesus or quote His Word that we resist the temptation and are obeying the Lord. This is an act of faith and that is what Jesus does...respond to faith. He has shown me this time and time again!

We have been given plenty of authority over the principalities and powers, but we have to use it! We have to take authority and speak the words...

shortened version john 16:33 in Christ is peace in the world tribulation good news Christ over came the world..

resist the devil and he will flee.
not always in a split second sometimes he doesnt give up spiritual warfare can be rather intense ..so we battle up
12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, . " he departed from him for a season"

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

Satan is never going to give up on trying to steal our faith and this is why we put on the full armour of God which is the word of God, Ephesians 6:10-18, as the battle is always spiritual. The battle belongs to the Lord who goes before us and gives us the victory over Satan and his minions. God's grace gives us the power and authority as all we need to do is use it and speak those words "get thee behind me Satan for it is written."

That's a very good point Brother.Apparently, some will not come out except by prayer and fasting. But even if it's not one of those and we put them out, in the authority of Jesus's name and blood, they depart for a season, then return. Another scripture says that whe they return and find the place clean and swept out they move back in and with 7 more devils or demons...

But why? How? That one is easy. Clean and swept out spirit soul heart and mind...what has filled the space they once were? It must be filled with the Word of God, or there would be danger of them returning.

never ending process.. just how spirit filled are we? you can be super man able to leap a tall building in a single bound or you can be 20 ft tall and bullet prof...but on the inside the battle field of the mind ..i have my share

I have my share too. Some days are better than others, lol. I am not there yet, but I think it is possible to walk moment by moment all day every day in the spirit and aware of the presence of the Lord with us, even at work. I can't yet. I talk with the Lord while driving from job to job and then zone out into my work when I get there, unless I run onto a problem lol! Then it's help Lord!! But I keep trying and maybe one day I will get there.

I learned the hard way about putting on the full armour of God and now Satan doesn't have a chance, even though he tries.

My 2 cents,
It is the hour of TEMPTATION, one must be tempted in that hour.
Tempted into following the false one. Tempted not to make a stand against the false one.
If every believer is raptured whom is he tempting?

My belief, we shall be delivered up to the false one, perhaps by our family and loved ones thinking that the false one is Christ.
Matt.24:9,10
Then shall they deliver you up, to be afflicted, and shall kill you, (could mean physically or spiritually) and should be hated of all nations for MY NAME'S SAKE.
And then many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Luke 21:12-19
Before all these, they shall lay hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for MY NAME'S SAKE.

And it shall turn to you for a Testimony.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends, and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

And ye shall be hated of all men for MY NAME'S SAKE.

But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
In your patience possess ye your souls.

Mark 13:9-13
Shall deliver you up, before councils ....for a Testimony against them, for MY NAME'S SAKE.
..
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up,
Take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditated, but whatsoever shall be given you IN THAT HOUR, that speak ye, for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the Son, and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.....
Luke12:11,12
For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the SAME HOUR what ye ought to say..

This will be the greatest test of our faith in Christ that we will not fall prey to such a great device of Satan.

From the garden the serpents deception has been associated with the fruit of the knowledge of sin. The temptation found there was one of judgement, for the serpents goal is that your eyes are opened to sin so that you desire to sit upon the throne showing yourself to be god, judging between good and evil.

If you are to withstand the wiles of the devil during the hour of temptation, then you should not follow the serpents lead, standing behind the throne accusing the brethren of sin day and night. Judge not, lest you be judged...........

Know you not that God has concluded all under sin? Are you tempted of the law to stand in judgement over your brethren? Are you tempted to seek retribution or vengeance through accusation and public condemnation?

If you are to withstand the hour of temptation, then you should be clothed with the breastplate of righteousness so that you can practice righteous judgement: Forgive one another, as I have forgiven you...

Kindly note what is actually stated in Revelation 3:10:
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep [Gk τηρέω (tereo)] thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

1. One of the meanings of "keep" (tereo) is "to preserve" and in this context, it means exactly that.

2. The hour of temptation (trying or testing) is for the world, those that dwell upon the earth, not for those who are in Heaven. This is not a literal hour but a period of time when Satan controls the inhabitants of the earth.

3. This "hour of temptation" will correspond to the Tribulation, which will be a time of great trouble, but limited to 3 1/2 years. This tribulation is an expression of God's wrath (along with Satan's wrath) and therefore it is not designed for the saints.
"For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thess 5:9)

Depends on which meaning, you pick,
