Romans 14-21
It is neither good to eat flesh nor to drink wine.
Exodus 23-5
Instruction to help animals in pain even if animals belong to enemy.
To kill an ox is to kill a man. (I forgot where in the Bible but if you read the Bible from cover to cover, you will find it.)
Heart of wicked is cruel.

What most Christians don't realize is when priests sacrificed animals, they were given very strict instruction to kill animals almost instantly without causing unnecessary pain and suffering.
None of slaughterhouse workers have this kind of skill to kill animals.
How many people are well aware of horror in slaughterhouses where live chickens are thron in boiling water and some farm animals are butchered while they are still in full concious?

Then when you read the rest of the verse, you see that it says "nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak."

This means that if it's causing someone to stumble, then you shouldn't do it, but otherwise it is fine. That is what all of Romans 14 is about, not judging others on disputable matters and not causing others to stumble.

The verse says if your eneny's odnkey has fallen because of the burden it is carrying, you are supposed to help with the burden.

I did a Bible Gateway keyword search on that phrase, and I also googled it, and couldn't find a verse.

i'm really sorry that animals go through so much pain when they die. I don't believe that we should intentionally torture animals, and maybe to a certain extent go somewhat out of the way to make sure that they die a rather quick death. i know before i said i put human rights above animal rights (in your "incase your interested" post in General Talk) but to a very far extent i also put human convenience above animal rights. i know that probably seems cruel and i'm sorry if u don't like it. but i would imagine its not that hard to give animals a nice clean death in slaughterhouses (in which case i sympathize with you). i've never really looked into it though.

The bible is like a giant puzzle, to understand the bible u must take ALL the bible says about a subject and put it together. To take part and leave some out or to pick and choose what u will believe, ur puzzle will be wrong and incomplete (false doctrine). When u put scripture together u get a picture that makes some scriptures not mean exactly what they say. It is called (rightly dividing the word of truth). And yes, we need God to help us sort it all out or we will still get much of it wrong. And no one knows all, God gives understanding as we need. Most people that study or read the bible today make the mistake of not taking all into account and get much wrong. Jesus said (in the last days there will be a falling away) it is a falling away from the truth and with the teachings of most churches that let u be a sinner and still have God, that falling away is here.

I think she is thinking of this.

Isaiah 66:3 (KJV)
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

ya need to read the whole chapter not get stuck on one verse though.
