what are the paypal donation options?

when using the paypal option from the donate button how does it work?

the donation is connected to my user name?

the donation goes through paypal and paypal can take it from my credit card?

you see my credit card info?

you see my name? - or my user name?

if i choose anonymous what do you see?

never done paypal before so i don't know how it works

if i choose the recurring payment how does that work if i want to change the amount?

any other important info i need to know about donating through the donation link?

there was a concern about paypal not being secure - is it?

All the personal information bothered me and I know in the past some people have had problems with PayPal accounts being hacked. I signed up a long time ago, but never used it and was getting emails that there were problems with my account and they wanted my personal information.

If you come in here is there anyway we could just send our support using a credit card other than PayPal. Maybe you could check out those credit card readers you hook up to your phone like small business use and we could message you with the credit card numbers when we want to send our support.

Christian forums.net is a secure site. Look at the URL and you will see a padlelock. That means all traffic on our site uses security.

PayPal is also a secure site and there is no fee to the user. They charge me a small fee to use their service, but it's nominal.

If you don't have a PayPal account, you don't have to create an account. It will process the transaction and not store your information.

Reoccurring transactions mean just that. It will automatically deduct your donation on a reoccurring time. Nobody has chosen that option. If anyone does, I will send a PM letting them know just to be sure. I can cancel the reoccurring transaction easily.

I don't have a credit card reader so I can't take donations over the phone etc.

I really appreciate everyone's generosity and for those who have donated, again, thank you!

For those that are unable to donate for any reason, that's ok. I didn't purchase this site to make any money... It's a ministry for me. I wasn't expecting the generosity this site has received, and I'm just so thankful to everyone.

i asked someone who does this all the time and he said buying a non-reloadable visa gift card and using it on paypal is safe - there is no private personal information on a visa giftcard so there is nothing to hack - and there is no need to open a paypal account -

i was told a vanilla visa giftcard is the best - my friend is super security conscious and has researched this so i will trust his research - i'll just do what he does - thanks for all the replies -

Wow, that's a great idea!

BTW, if you select annomous, the only thing it does is hides who you are so nobody knows it was you that donated.

As an added bonus, anyone who donates has the ads removed! If anyone has donated and they still see ads, let me know please!
