Hi Ms Corrie; you must know how many holes you really want.I just have one. When I was younger, I considered getting a second piercing, but not anymore.
You are so right about the 70's! That's when I had my ears pierced and a few years later, I had them done again so I have 2 on each earHi Ms Corrie; you must know how many holes you really want.
I don't think age has much to do with it, though. Teenaged girls (and their moms) were getting extra holes pierced in the late 1970s. Which means that a 19 year old in 1979 would be 53 today, and her mom aged. say, 46 in 1979 would be 80 today.
You must know your own likes and preferences. (But multiple holes do not look unusual on any woman today.)
I think pierced ears on little ones are so cute, and I think my discernment is pretty strong and I have never felt anything unGodly about themfarouk, we are making a little girl a stuffed pig pillow for a gift. We have decided to give her earrings. She is a pierced ear pig.

Now that you mention it, it seems it is sort of "dating" myself, LOL! I will be 61 this monthHi Ms celebratejesus :
Interesting what you say; yes, I think at least 2 on each earlobe has kind of become a sort of 'almost expectation', rather than one each side. Some people like to imagine that doing 2nds is a temporary fashion thing that won't continue, supposedly a throwback to the 70s and 80s, but I don't. I think having at least the 2nds done is already kind of timeless, don't you?
Blessings.
Well, it's kind of already timeless really, to do doubles, thirds, etc. rather than just the one on each side. Now that you mention it, it seems it is sort of "dating" myself, LOL! I will be 61 this monthI like my pierced ears, can't imagine wearing those clipons like my mom and grandmother had, oochee, ouchee!!
Almost hundreds of millions of Hispanic girls have them done at birth by maternity nurses, anyway, unless the mom opts her out. It's a firm part of the culture, anyhow.I think pierced ears on little ones are so cute, and I think my discernment is pretty strong and I have never felt anything unGodly about them

Hi, questdriven:Re: Earlobe enlargements: who has them/ would consider them?
I don't have anything against it, but it's just not for me.
Never felt the urge for more holes, right? One on each side and that is enough!
Ms Kathi: Oh so you had a cartilage piercing put in, in the 90s, then.I had one in each lobe and then one higher up in the 90's.That is what was in in the 90's.I had a couple of older women come up to me once and tell me "Honey, you lost one of your earrings".I no longer have any piercings.
Hi kiwidan: I see! So you never thought to do both ears, then? Increasingly when guys do ear piercing, they do both.I used to have 1 in my ear. Then i had one in my eyebrow. Now i got none.
Ms Kathi:When I was 16 I wanted my ears pierced. My parents said "no". Well, being the strong willed person I could sometimes be I wanted my own way.My girlfriend took me into her garage and she had a needle,a cork and a piece of ice to try and numb my ear.She pierced my ears.It came out just fine.I did not have any problems with it.Although I did have to hide my ears for awhile![]()
Ms Kathi: Kind of a rite of passage, really. These days sons often want to do it, too. (Not just tattoos, but earrings as well.)A guy at work today said he had taken his 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced this past weekend. He took her to an upscale nice place.I guess she did well. She was very determined and wanted it done badly.
