Hi, my name is Steph.
I've only been Christian for two years now, but still as hungry for more of Him as ever!
Before Jesus led me to the Light, I had also experimented with both Buddhism and Neo-Paganism, mainly Wicca, so I know a bit about that sort of thing, and if anyone is looking for information or just a summary of why I no longer buy into it, please feel free to ask.
Last year in my high school I was the leader of the evangelical Christian club- that was quite the lurch into active Christian leadership! And as I've felt increasingly pulled toward missions in the past two years, I'm looking into participating in missions this year both to Mexico and Canada. In fact, I wrote a prayer request in the Prayer Request Forum if you'd care to go there and pray for me. I'd really appreciate it.
God has poured out so many blessings on me in the past two years, there is no way I could ever thank Him enough. Just wanted to give everyone a shout and say "Hey!" to all my Christian brothers and sisters. Love you guys!
To Him be the glory and honor and praise of all nations forever!

Welcome, Steph It is good to have you here.
And it is great to have a young christian here because you bring with you the joy, enthusiasm and fire that we all had when we were new christians. We tend to lose some of it as we get comfortable and perhaps lazy in our walk.

Welcome Steph,

Wicca is something that I know nothing about. Should I?????????? Maybe you can enlighten us.

Mcrees~
I wasn't meaning that you should have knowledge of Wicca, but with me God has made my knowledge of Wicca very useful in witnessing to people who are Wiccans or Neo-Pagans, because I can see things from thier POV and explain to them ow wrong it really is.
That's all. :)

Feel free to ask if you have any questions. I'd be glad to help if I can. I'm not exactly an expert on the topic, but I do have some valuable experience. Got friends who are Neo-Pagan?

Yeah. Thier take on magic is that there like this life force flowing through all creation and by praying to the Goddess she'll allow them to tap into it and manipulate the life-force, a.k.a. reality itself. I haven't actually witnessed spells being performed, however, I've heard even Christian accounts of curses, hexes, and spells being performed that did take effect. I believe this is the work of Satan (see my reply to the Poll in the Other Religions Forum regarding Wicca and Paganism).
However, if my sources are correct, many Wiccan authorities discourage casting spells having to do with Christian believers because they usually backfire or don't work at all. Hmmm... wonder why that is, eh? lol!

Yes, thanks to God's grace, I'm extremely glad He pulled me out of that.
