Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'm extremely sorry that I forgot to post the Saint Patrick's Day parade today. :sad I had a pretty busy day today,.. however it doesn't look like my Saint Paddy's Day thread was as popular as it was last year,.. so hopefully nobody on here is disappointed by it since the video is no longer available. :sorry2x Anyways, I feel bad just the same and I hope you all had a great day anyways. :biggrin2

Well just for St. Patrick's Day

I came back here for just a few moments and one reason was to say that if I get nightmares tonight I'm blaming you because that animation was creepy. :erm

Not to mention the fact I didn't understand a word on what they were talking about,.. but yes I have a very strong stomach,.. but watching this actually scared me more than a lot of horror movies I've seen and trust me,.. I've seen a LOT!

As I have previously outlined before, St Patrick's day isn't celebrated as much here; well, where I live anyway. Tessa, does anyone celebrate it where you live?

I'll have to view the video when I get home, as the computer I'm signed on at doesn't have speakers.

Hi Book Keeper We have a lot of Irish people in a Manchester. They have a big parade in the city centre. Lots of parties going on, fancy dress being a big favourite. Big, noisy parties, they are a happy lot
They love dancing and singing.
That's interesting; thank you for sharing.
There are very few Irish where we are; none of our pubs or restaurants advertise it either. Unless I saw the advertisement in Morrisons, I wouldn't have know.

St. Georve's day is forgotten by many pfople here although some do celebrate it
You see more people wearing daffodils on St Daffyd's Day
Manchester is extremely mixed culture. When I used to work in the city centre I would hear many languages being spoken on my way to work.

St George's Day has got a stigma around it; those who celebrate it are labelled as fascists.
I enjoy St George's Day; we mark the occasion and enjoy the celebration.
We have a mix here but it is in the very low minority.

By the way, just for the record JohnDB, I know you didn't mean to scare the heck out of me so there's no hard feelings,.. I just shouldn't have watched that before bed. The animation for Saint Patrick was the creepiest. Especially at the end when he started yelling. :erm
