One of the reasons I WON'T get one is because they are SO popular! Plus, all I need to do on a portable phone is make and take quick calls from church, work and family members.

I go through 130 mins. in a record 3 months. :lol

Oh my gosh, that's funny!!! :toofunny

"I don't care, I don't care, I don't care..." "Now my cat is homeless" :lol :lol

I don't have, want, need an iPhone; not in a house, not with a mouse, not on a train, not in the rain. I do not want a new iPhone. I don't want it, brainless clone!"

Very, very good, Caroline! :clap :clap :clap

"They could put out a brick and call it an iPhone"---"I don't care" :lol

"It prints money"---"I don't care"

"It has an app that can make you an island, and then it transforms into a jet and flies you there"---"I don't care"
:toofunny

I have to watch it every now and then for a good laugh :biglaugh

As they say, good humor is funny because there's an element of truth in it. People want an iPhone because it's an iPhone just like people want an iPod because it's an iPod. There are mp3 players every bit as good as an iPod for a fraction of the cost, but people buy the name, not the technology. :shrug

Apple knows this, so they lock the price. You can't buy anything Apple for less money anywhere unless you go through an alternative source; ebay, Craig's List... That's what really cheeses me about iWhatever. They're so cocky and sure of their brand loyalty and image, they set the terms - and set them high.

Back to the video, outstanding! :toofunny He's dead, and she's asking, "Can you waive the activation fee?" :thumb :lol

If you good people would send me your iPhones I'd be happy to give them the death they deserve.

I'll simply take them to the range and tape them to a target. I'll post video and photos! I hate those things!

I actually saw a girl riding a scooter using one hand to steer and the other to play with her iPhone!! :crazy Why not just wear a sign? Hmmmmmmm, what would it say.......?

I wouldn't mind an iPhone, except I will never go get a plan on AT&T, I like to be able to take and send calls, and AT&T users don't get to do that often because they never have a connection (or at least around me).

I really would like one, though. I use my phone for a few things. Calls, texts, emails, internet, solitaire, and thats it, but if my phone was an iPhone (or that cool Droid) I could do SOOOOO much more...

Actually I need a new phone, maybe I should get that Droid.

I had Sprint, it was terrible. Unbelievably high rates that weren't stated, dropped calls all the time and no signal.

Then I had Alltel.....WORSE!

Since then I've had AT&T. No problems at all and really low rates, especially with mobile to mobile, rollover, and my discount through my employer. :thumb

At&t is the best carrier around my parts. I've tried the rest and there were massive holes in their networks. Verizons especially. you MIGHT be able to get a call outside somewhere but walk in a building and it went away. Since I went to ATT I haven't found a place where it doesn't work. Even in our local supermarket which normally you think it wouldn't (lots of concrete and steel).

As for the iphone, say what you want about it but it's a good device and cheap if you get it with a contract. I've had mine for ahwile. And being disabled it is a huge help for me. I can now read books without getting migraines because I can adjust the type. I can bring my bible and bible study materials with me anywhere and I didn't pay a cent for them. Nice to be able to read a scripture and look up meaning of words. I can view any bible version i could think of also. Or listen to an audio bible, all for free. I have problems sleeping due to pain, they have white noise generators like waves that help with that. I can track my sleep patterns to report them to my doctor. I can track what I eat so I know what makes me ill (serious problem with my disease).

I could name a dozen reasons my iphone helps me have a better quality of life. I understand most people don't have the needs I have or a reason like mine to have a device like this. Not saying an iphone alone wouldn't do it, but if your hung up on the droid being the end all device, it's not really that different then an iphone.

Ya, I s'posse it does depend on the area you are in. For me Verizon is the way to go. I have full bars even in the basement, and the only place with no connection at all, that I have discovered, is the school (but they have cellphone jammers in the school).

I also am pretty happy with the Verizon customer service. My parents got an unlimited texting for my sisters phone, however they forgot to do something to activate it. Anyways, my sister, thinking she had unlimited texting, racked up a 300$ text bill for one month! Verizon paid for the entire thing plus gave all of us a free month of texting.

I l love my phone I have the top phone that Blackberry makes, the 9700 bold. And I would really rather have this phone than a iphone.

I love my Blackberry, too! But, I have a simple Curve. It's still great for what I use it for. I had a Palm Treo before this, and my employer issues me a Samsung Saga. Both of these were/are so unfriendly functionally, I would never spend a dollar on them myself after having had a BB. I tried a Storm when they came out with it to compete with the iPhone, but the window/pressing function was very awkward. I took it back right away. Love the qwerty :)

Well, I guess if you want to do this on a phone, you need an iPhone... but this is pretty cool. Watch :)

I had a Blackberry Curve a 8310, I loved that one too, but this Bold has a 625 MHz CPU, I even have real live TV on it, with 100 and 23 stations, it did not come with that though, and I downloaded 2 radio station apps, plus with all the features that came with the 9700 Bold, I am happy, and I really like watching TV in waiting rooms, instead of just sitting there. But the Curve and the 700 series Blackberry's that I had taught me a lot about high tech phones, and the Blackberry keyboard is phenomenal to say the least. I did another 2 year contract with T-Mobile so instead of paying the 500 bucks for the 9700 phone, I am only paying 111 bucks for it, or am I, because some of these companies spread out your payments to recover the money for the phones, even when they tell you that this phone is free with a 2 year contract, but they try to make you think that it is free.

I think I'll change my avatar. This one is very annoying and is probably making people hate their computers.

L, you took the words out of my mouth. That avatar is brutal - just brutal. :gah :gah :gah

I'm very happy that the iPhone has helped you in your life!! Seriously!

Blessings come in all shapes and devices. :thumb
