That's wonderful for you, but around here it would be more like ice fishing I'm afraid. 
Most funeral homes automatically report things to Social Security. Someone may have had a similar name, or an employee may have mixed up the digits when reporting their number to Social Security. Things happen. People make mistakes sometimes. Could have been a hacker trying to do something. Many possibilities.

Death certificate
Relatives and executors will often mail a copy of the certificate to Social Security. Social Security does not depend on executors mailing them a paper copy of the certificate though. Separately, most funeral homes use the electronic death reporting system to notify Social Security. The records are shared with several federal and state agencies to coordinate benefits. Its mostly electronic nowadays.
Yes. As a practical matter, allowing terrorists to wander around in general population doesn't work out too well. A few reform, but quite a few recruit others into terror groups. Some ISIS members have been ordered to return to their countries of origin, and continue the struggle there.
These people will have to be monitored carefully for many years. Many are fanatics. One of the reasons they were still in Kurd prisons is that no one knew what to do with them. Many are just too dangerous to allow wandering around freely, and western court systems often demand just that.

Like l learned time ago .better have a back up,printed one and copy,and no matter electronic the gov gets they will foul up.

I,don't usually have a That problem with the private companies .
Here's the thing, the same imperfect type of people work at both public and private companies. They don't recruit from Mars. Both get their employees from general population.
People who work at private companies for decades should keep paper copies of their retirement papers in a file folder too. Keep copies of all important papers, public and private. Warranties on products purchased from private companies should be saved.

it's endemic in the end of the government not the private Market I didn't serve the military for 27 years and see this you can have a felony where I work and still have your job you can go out and beat the tar out of somebody do time and it will not fire you

There probably dying and complete dumps because there is nothing there and and its infested with meth. You need some industry or big company to boost a local economy. The town I am from its the oil refinery that keeps the town flowing otherwise it would be a complete broke dying dump.

I just spotted a thief. I looked around the corner and a cat was in the deck tray of my vehicle and stole a fish. Thats my fish, its theft. I chased the thief but it got away. I will not be calling the authorities. I will let it slide this time.
