LeClair was told by the hospital they accepted her employer-based health insurance. “I paid my $300 copay. After the surgery, I started receiving all these invoices and came to find out the only thing covered was my bed because the hospital was out of network,” said LeClair. “My bills were hundreds of thousands of dollars, so I had no choice but to file bankruptcy.”

Employer based insurance. CEOs get good insurance. Many average guys get something else.

I'm not going into another debate over healthcare ,that's sad but people do file bankruptcy in,socialist medicine systems ,how ,govt don't,pay for the lost time when they delay treatment for obese and smokers and other non, essential surgeries .

A unicorn meteor shower. I love it.

A train that moves near the speed of sound. Interesting concept.

Platinum, palladium and rhodium in catalytic converters makes some of them pricey. Let's hope the police can protect people's cars.

All true. None of the systems around the world are perfect. Including the USA's system. Its a matter of which system the majority does best with. In the USA the rich do best. There is a 20 year longevity gap between the rich and poor in the USA. In most other countries, the majority does best. So the choice seems to be to optimize care for the rich (USA), or optimize care for the majority (most of the world).

In Japan, the average life expectancy is 83.98 years, in the USA it is 78.69 The majority in the USA would be better off asking Japan to set up their health system for them. The rich radio talk show hosts' best strategy is to continue to point out that the US system is better for the rich.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say really fast that there will be no news today, but for the record I thought that that vegan who was complaining about vegan burgers being cooked on the same grill as regular burgers was ridiculous! Nobody is forcing you to eat them and it seems like people really do complain about every little thing nowadays. :rolleyes Anyways, have a wonderful rest of the day and God bless! :biggrin

It's still cross contamination for vegans with meat on the same grill, but I'm guessing it was a vegetarian option they ordered at a normal restaurant and the menu did not say vegan. If they don't like it then go to a vegan only restaurant where they know there is no cross contamination.

True. Very good point. :goodpost

Opportunity for me if I take the two types .

I'm trying to figure out how this is legal. If police are allowed to park on the side of the road and specifically target and pull over trucks for an inspection. I thought there had to be a reason to pull people over. I seen it a few times now at the same spot with trucks pulled over.

On a side note I don't have anything against the police they do a good job in general and I know officers just do what there told to do by there highers so are just doing there job.

I just don't agree with having specific targets. I don't even think it's legal. Maybe it is, I don't know every hundreds of thousands of laws. I don't think you can specifically target someone just because of the vehicle they are driving. There has to be reason to pull someone over. What's the reason, they are doing nothing wrong and are just driving a truck going along there daily business?.

They used to park down the road form my local and wait for people to leave and then pull us over for breath tests until someone complained then they suddenly were not there anymore.
