Faith is not that on which one builds, this would be to build upon itself, thus lacking a foundation for support. Faith is that which is built upon the foundation—which is Christ, Him being “the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb 12:2), thus maintaining the “preeminence” of Christ in our faith (Col 1:18). Faith, being a fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22) qualifies it as a God-given attribute (Eph 2:9) and used rightly will lead the believer to its intended place—that of being God-dependent in all things.

It does well to realize that faith is not about going to the Lord Jesus to receive from Him to do, but it is coming from Him with the understanding concerning the usage of what He has already provided for us to do.

My faith is built up when I am given answer to prayers in a way that I just KNOW it is Him!
That's good instruction to share, and I can appreciate your sentiment. It's as are many things of God, always something beyond what you would like to fully comprehend, when God manifests Himself, not only in prayer requests but also in the other ways.

There is that which we know always what to pray for, which concerns "life and godliness," and then there is that which "we know not what we should pray for" (Rom 8:26), which are the concerns of this life (other than the things of God), i. e. things and situations.

Thankfully the Spirit's "intercession" being with and for the believer, provides us comfort in knowing we are in God's care always (1 Pet 5:7), Who knows how to use everything to teach us that which concerns Himself--"for good to them that love God" (8:28). Because of this I've learned there's never a need to allow disappointment. As it has been well said, "When a believer is disappointed it is because of trusting in the arm of flesh (self or another person), instead of God, for God never disappoints.

God's blessings to your Family and God be blessed!

Hello, I just wanted to say Hi and share a beautiful thought.

We all know the passage: Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also. Jn 14:1-3

The word for Mansion here “mona” in Greek is a place, an abode. The 1611 King James Romantic English translators must have thought, “The ultimate, the best abode is a mansion and being with God would be just that the best. Their idea was right. When thinking on this I ask, What is God’s HOUSE?

Isa 57:15 Says, For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity; whose name is Holy;

If God’s house is eternity Jn 14:2 could read.

In eternity the dwelling of, God There is a place for ME!

And as we look at that place the story only gets better and better. ”Oykeeah” in Greek is the home of a family. The Majesty of the Eternal Holy God made a place for me but so much more than a dwelling in eternity. He made a place for me in the Family of God.

Ro 8:14-17 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, “Father My Father!”
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.
And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may aso be glorified together.

The Majesty of Eternal Holy God made us His children and Heirs with Christ.

TO KNOW HIM IS ALL!

Hi RS - Thank you for you input, and what you've shared makes me mindful of Ephesians 2:6 which discloses that for the believer, there's no waiting for Heaven concerning our "position": "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."

To me, I have come to understand this to mean that the believer can be considered presently placed There "postionally" in the Lord Jesus, and until (Rom 8:3) He "receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also," we can pray looking down from heaven with thanksgiving and encouragement of heart, more than praying looking up with expectancy and great need. This causes me to focus more often on the Giver than His gifts, which concurs with what you've indicated, "TO KNOW HIM IS ALL!, and this is the Lord's intent, that we choose "that good part" (Luke 10:42).

Glad to see you and God's blessings to your Family!

If someone believes and is going to Jesus for divine help that's a good thing and is encouraged. For those that don't believe in Jesus they won't go to Him at all.

If your trying to state "put into practice" what Jesus taught I agree.
If your trying to state God has given us everything we need in Christ to live a Godly life I agree.(Christ in us)

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Thanks Randy (have a nephew with your name) for your reply, and I believe we are in agreement!

Blessings!
